Quicksilver Storm Nerf

So, we have multiple long range exotics that can absolutely melt endgame yellow bars and bosses from a safe distance where the game basically plays itself, but because Quicksilver, a weapon that requires you to be in relatively risky range to get use out of does competent damage with the grenades, which require setup and also knowledge on how to efficiently shoot and reload quickly enough, we're gonna nerf it? If you nerf the grenade setup requirement, you've now created a setup time that makes the risk too high and will make the exotic redundant. This isn't an exotic that everyone's using. This is nowhere near the usage of Osteo Striga when that was op. That exotic was completely brainless levels of op. QS is an exotic SOME people are using. I thought it was in a perfectly fine place. Now it's gonna be in a place where no one is using it because it's quicker and more efficient to just shoot mountaintop or something similar in damage. Very very strange nerf

  • Your right on the fact that it wasn't op but when did it took skill to play QS ? In GM I can understand but in any other activity this is not more difficult that to play any other weapon

    • It's not Obi... the gun does special dps WITHOUT the nades. The nades make QS an unlimited ammo heavy weapon. I have a unique perspective for this weapon. I've used it since the beginning. I used it, alot, while it was still bugged doing 30% less dmg than intended. The weapon will still be S-tier... Will you be using it? It depends how broken Red Death is.... What I'm saying, to clarify, that if I was able solo Legend Avalon with QS when it was bugged before Avalon was adjusted and made easier... the gun is still going to be great. Tldr: Out with the old, in with the "new"ish 😁.... Red Death. Kovostov. There will be new kinetic primaries.

      • QS doesn’t need a nerf. It gets beaten by freaking armit or how ever it’s spelt. Sheesh my funnel webs better than it. Bungie needs to stop being incompetent listening to streamers who are only 1% of the community. They need to start utilizing there damn app for advice. Use polls like we do in our posts to see what the fandom wants not what the 1% thinks is good. Stop holding summits catered to the 1% and think what the average player wants. Streamers don’t even play very often there to busy editing footage.

          • It’s mainly popular this season because of the artifact mods and it’s an auto rifle. The grenade launcher perk is not over powered at all and takes forever to reload and switch back to the auto rifle form. Not like you can quickly swap between modes without the reload animation.

            All they should've done was just increase the time it takes to build up grenades by 50% but damage too? Maybe they should look at how spongy enemies in harder content are and then get back to us on that. It's like you said: we're gonna hang back and pick enemies off with Wishender anyway. Promoting boring passive gameplay is not what the game needs.

            • Bungie doesn’t like it when a weapon gets too popular, why grind when we have a weapon we like already. Try Lethal Abundance with onslaught for a replacement, I haven’t touched QS since I got one last IB. You don’t miss the gl because you can use other exotics with it.

              The only thing bungie needs to hard nerf is the Drifting Apart modifier in harder activities like master nightfalls or Altars of Summoning. The activities are hard enough and adding that drifting apart modifier makes it even harder than gm nf. *Togetherness = drifting apart

              • their nerfs never make any sense. If you want to address something that has too much uptime and deals too much damage, you should nerf either the uptime, or the damage, not both. With Anarchy for example, their claim was "it does too much boss damage. We want it to be focused on ad clear and dealing with tough enemies instead" so they nerf the boss damage by 30% AND cut the reserves by 62.5% (26 -> 16). That makes no sense, as it now deals much less damage, and has much less ammo. What role is it supposed to fulfill then? Same with this, they make grenades less available, AND nerf the damage as well.
