Chaos Accelerant needs an update badly. It's stuck in d2y1. As it hardly if at all does anything for a charged gernade. In comparison to Titans aspect Touch of Thunder that actually enhances their gernade and doesn't require charge up time.
Currently charging a vortex gernade slightly increases its radius and adds one additional second to your gernade. Meanwhile we already have echo of remnants doing the same thing but better. Not requiring a charge up let alone an aspect to do so and gains options with not just using a vortex gernade but spike gernades, void walls and axion bolts. Yes I'm aware they stack for axions and Vortex however it's sub par. So I'd suggest that vortex while under chaos accelerant grants siphoning too. Damage dealt returns health all while keep the additional second and a slightly larger radius.
A charged Scatter gernade gaining tracking hurts any potential the gernade has as it will spread apart the particles. So I'd suggest that a charged Scatter gernade becomes hhsn that should be back to a ohk. As we already have nothing manacles which offers the same thing. Titans have a plethera of ohks and hunters got to keep their's. Yes Flux is a ohk doesn't help voidwalker amd every class has access to that. As the current version of hhsn is a worse version of pocket singularity. He'll even make it so you have to use Contraverse hold. It's just feels like a slap in the face when I get killed by a ohk ability but I had mine taken away from me.
Axion bolts are bad without a charge and I feel they need a buff for how slow they travel for even how bad their cooldown is. Compared to threadlings. Charged axion bolts imo feel like the only gernade worth using in pvp but slightly faster tavel time wouldn't hurt.
Magnetic gernades should be switched to suppressor gernades. I'd suggest that warlocks gain a secondary effect with a suppressor gernade. Then you could take advantage of echo of domineering. Convert a suppressor gernade into a evil child that sticks to your target or a surface suppressing them or those near by. Can work with Briar bonds.

yeah, needs to have the effect of other nade aspects without charging the nades

1 ReplyI switched away from Chaos Accelerant and contraverse hold a while back and never looked back. I main Voidlock, and contraverse was my primary exotic build for PvE, and even used it a bunch in PvP. With void 3.0, the nerf to the charged vortex just made it relatively useless and voidsoul became a better option to keep abilities rotating and weaken applied on enemies. Chaos Accelerant needs more than it has, perhaps combining weaken into the grenade without needing to use the fragment, so that you can use other fragments and not take the stat penalty associated with it?

1 ReplyEdited by Infamous067: 4/4/2024 3:56:22 PMI agree with allowing the scatters to ohk when overcharged. When paired with the gloves, this combo would be really good in pvp. Axiom bolts got nerfed because casual or I guess less than the average skill player couldn’t hit those gigantic purple balls, I doubt it’s ever going to get buffed again. It went from being one of the best grenades in the game to one of the worst in one patch.

If they were to remove charging, y’think they could rework contraverse to work with just vortex grenades? Somewhat similar to Nothing Manacles? I like the versatility of all grenades, but idk what it’d be.

I'm 100% certain they don't change this because they would have to rework converseholds. I'm fine with the charge up, but I think they should update it to let you charge pocket singularity and turn it into a ohk melee at 8 meters or less. Also update converseholds to work with the charge up melee in addition to grenades. Maybe charged grenades could generate more super energy on kills.

It should be given three fragment slots, if nothing else.

1 ReplyEdited by LegendWatters: 4/5/2024 2:30:47 AMA charged axion bolt should be the ohk. It’s laughable that it can be shot one time and destroyed or easily ran away from. And if it does connect it tickles your opponent at best unless they have less than 25hp. And don’t get me started how sometimes you throw it and it hits the ground in front of people and simply disappears. Lol. No seeker, no explosion. Nothing. Just disappears. But the alternative to accelerant is feed the void which is also pointless in PVP since they removed the ability to consume your grenade and proc devour. Sorry for the tangent. I’ve been a voidlock main since D1 and it’s sad what it has become lol

3 RepliesFun fact: Before Void 3.0 it provided a 25% damage increase as well as the effects we currently have to charged grenades. For some reason, they removed that damage increase and said nothing about it.

I’d say the improved scatternade needs a rework

Edited by Soul_Eater_42: 4/4/2024 9:24:08 PMHow Bungie should buff Chaos Accelerant for each grenade: Vortex Grenade: have it gradually increase damage over time. Axion Bolt: have each bolt knock back a target and make them Volatile. Scatter Grenades: double the number of submunitions, and have them spread out a bit further, like the Solar Swarm Grenades, when tracking to help prevent them from colliding with each other. Magnetic Grenade: have it turn into a slightly better version of Handheld Supernova where it creates a small cluster of Void energy in front of you that draws nearby enemies in before detonating.
gernade
I'm sorry, I really hate to be "that guy," but yikes... That's painful to look at. For future reference, it's spelled "grenade."

4 RepliesI mostly agree, but man the way you chose to spell grenade, lmao. Had my attention the entire time I was reading.
