As a reference, I'm a 1.41 overall in trials and have been flawless over 200 times. As a solo player, I can't achieve the ascendant rank. I've made my promotion games 8 times this season and have failed every time. I'm quite average, I just play a lot. I've probably fell at the gates over 1,000 times. So, I'm quite okay with losing games.
SBMM has made 6v6 pvp unplayable. I can't compete in the lobbies I'm put in. I'm constantly put in games where I can't even get a kill. I thought SMBB meant that you play players at your skill level. I never really overachieved in pvp but, I at least had fun. I'm all for whatever is best for the community but after three weeks of supremacy, it's so glaringly obvious how tuned up the SBMM is in control.
Please revert this change bungie. I beg this of you. Only playing PVE is boring and I like to switch back and forth.

I am fairly sure they have nothing left of SBMM in control just what they referred to as outlier protection. You would have to check but I am fairly sure that was discussed a while back

Control now uses Outlier Protection — it’s not trying to find similar skill, it’s just there to try and protect the lowest skill players from matching with the highest skill players. You aren’t average ability (regardless of how much you play). You’re definitely towards the higher skill end. Your 6v6 game history does not show what you are describing. I’m confused by your post. 😵💫

The thing with SBMM in comp, think about how many players playing comp at the moment. Really dry playlist and to avoid hours of matchmaking time, skill level will be expanded. Really don’t get the point of complaining, in every PvP game you also can have loosing streaks. Who the f cares, just stop and play again on an other day
