If you want special treatment, do something special.

Marketing 101 genius. Some of these streamers and youtubers have hundreds of thousands of subcribers and/or viewers. What you got besides the 3 member strong Bucktooth Club of the Ozarks? Bungie gives them silver to promote an emote, a bundle or whatever so the rest of us would purchase it with real money if so inclined. When your club gets 50k members, then you might get some silver too chief.

It's called "pay to win" duh.
-
I wouldn’t worry. They’re selling some older ugly armor sets in the eververse for bright dust now. You don’t even need silver.

People don't realize streamers don't give a flying F about the well being of the game . And so do their followers . They always need to abuse that what is broken and complain about it when it gets nerfed but just because they have hundreds or thousands of followers everyday they get silver ??? Any person can start up destiny 2 and see what they have to offer in the eververse store . Why would you need to watch a streamer for that ??? Marketing my @$$ . Streamers are getting free stuff for no reason . They are already getting paid for playing the game . They can buy eververse stuff with their own money and promote the things in eververstore like that . That would actually make sense . Streamers are not bungi employees and giving them free silver is just disgusting .

Same answer as Jet Set Willy. I played a couple of days ago and my game history is public. Does that count? -
Make some YT videos and get some silver then?
-
Bungie pays them to advertise. Alot of game developers do this for content creators.

Edited by Jet Set Willy: 3/26/2024 10:46:53 AMProbably the same reason that ‘content creators’ / ‘influencers’ / ‘celebrities’ get free products from a lot of companies/organisations. They promote and advertise the product (in this case D2), so get some form of freebie (in this case silver) as a reward.
