It’s ridiculous that players can voluntarily leave a trials match. Every 3rd or 4th game I play, we lose 1st round and a teammate just bails, essentially screwing us for the whole match, forcing me to reset my card. For the love of -blam!- god, please remove the ability of players to voluntarily leave a match, yes disconnect I understand, but don’t let people choose to leave.
This game has become a -blam!- joke, cheaters constantly, imbalanced lobbies, and players can actively choose to leave a game -blam!- over teammates who could be 1 or 2 wins from a flawless passage.
Sort your -blam!- out bungie or introduce player protection for when people leave a game. If not I’m done with this BS. Why am I playing a game where some random -blam!- can -blam!- over my whole trials passage

Yeah because that'll stop people....lol. Alt-F4 exists. "close application" on both consoles exists. Like....????

1 ReplyOr if they leave enough games, just ban them for the weekend.
please remove the ability of players to voluntarily leave a match, yes disconnect I understand, but don’t let people choose to leave.
If you can't solve this problem, doing that is literally pointless. And you'll also have to stop ppl from jumping off the map, and might as well forbid them from playing bad too, that'd mean you too, bud.

1 ReplyI check game history of those who complain about teammates. I would suspect your teammates leave because either they didn’t think they were winning the game, or didn’t want to carry, because of you on the team. You can’t force someone to carry, and even if you force them to stay, they can jump off map or AFK, and I don’t think can blame them in those situations.

Just leave and take a break.

1 ReplyBased on your stats, I can see why people would leave your team. It sucks when people quit trials matches but it also sucks when your teammates are feeding the enemy special ammo and super energy.
This game has become a -blam!- joke, cheaters constantly, imbalanced lobbies
Have you considered that these might be reasons that your teammates are leaving? It wouldn't make much sense for someone to stick around for a guaranteed loss against cheaters or players that they couldn't possibly hope to beat. Why should they have to waste that much of their time and tank their stats just so you can lose with one extra player on your team? If matchmaking actually worked correctly and created balanced matches without cheaters, it would make a lot more sense. As things are now, though, it's better to punish repeat offenders by not letting them join new matches. Disabling the option to return to orbit would just cause people to take an extra 5 seconds to alt+F4/close application, and nothing else would change in the grand scheme of things.

Edited by Ghillieghost: 3/26/2024 7:15:19 AMWould rather them leave than feed specials and cost lives. Nobody wants to leave. You get the first couple rounds free, but nobody wants to waste time on rigged lobbies either, and if you can't grasp the basics in first couple rounds, whole game is a wash. People only leave when you ar3nt a good teammate. Stop bringing bows. Shoot with your team. Look at radar. Use run ffs. All the folks that can't grasp basics is reasons I will leave.

It's bad enough there are quitter penalties and Trials lockouts If the skill differences are obvious, like your teammates instantly dying , then your just wasting your time fighting a futile cause, knowing your card is already fudged , then why stay just to be tbag fodder for the stronger team ? Knowing you have no chance is not a fun time, yeah there is a chance of a miraculous comeback, just like there is chance to win the lottery But the smart money is on an 0-5 slaughter -
So...alt f4 ?
