I shouldn’t have to wait just to be able to use a shotgun! I can’t count how many times I’ve needed a shotgun and not been able to use it because of the damn timer. It is a garbage system that needs to be reworked

2 Replies0.7kd 0.3 trials, most used "weapons" in this order: melee, shotgun, auto rifle. Sounds about right

Get good with your primary and you’ll have plenty of special ammo.

Sounds like you were crutching pretty darn hard

Lol shotguns get the most special lol. You just want your cheesy guns back. Have a gunfight. They are more fun then dog butt sliding on the carpet all over the place for a cheese kill. Shotguns are boring AF
-
Gasp oh no you actually need to use a primary
-
I think this is a good change. Budgeting your special ammo should be something you have to do. Too many people crutch their special weapons.

2 RepliesCOMPLETELY AGREE. I hate when I see ppl saying things like “why don’t you just hit your shots”. It’s not about hitting your shots it’s about having fun. I like quick scoping hitting eager edge jump shots but apparently to some that’s only for cod according to the bots that hold down the ADS button the entire match. The way that matches feel are extremely boring and I don’t understand how special ammo transmat has lasted this long in the game it needs to be removed immediately…. (The only problem was fusions in my opinion)

The tier thing in play is garbage on how it works I agree with you. However I think it can be reworked into something that makes a little more sense. Their tiers should work according to the length of the match when it reaches a certain tier on its bar it should be special ammo drops upon kills. Then as the tier is moving towards the next bar it stops untill it reaches the new bar then grants special ammo on kills again.

2 RepliesCould you have made it any less obvious that you can’t get kills without a special weapon?

1 ReplyIt's awful. So many fun things have been nerfed. Now Crucible is an AR hell, with some pulses and scouts, praying and spraying, team shooting abyss.

I haven't touched crucible in a while. Everything that made pvp (6v6) fun has been gutted. I'm all for competitive modes being competitive but 6v6 needs to be left alone. The #1 major problem with players in quickplay is they don't wanna buff their play style and learn counter play. Here's a good example... You are a red dot on the tracker now in the air and people still don't look up and cry aerial gameplay is oppressive. The problem with destiny in general is they trying to be a game for everyone and if you try to be a game for everyone it's a game for nobody.

Edited by Cal O'Mari: 3/22/2024 3:04:32 PMI usually run double primary. Been doing that for literal years and feel a change of pace might be nice lately, so I've been playing with specials. I think the biggest thing with it is that this was not implemented to be able to run nothing but special for the entire match. If you use it tactically, for specific encounters and have a good primary for the specific map you're playing on, its not too bad. Maybe it could be a bit quicker regen, but not much more. Though I want to try it more to say for sure. It might feel alot worse right now because Summoner is effectively ruining Crucible at the moment, but with how bad it is, it will get the nerf it needs. Hopefully they don't go too crazy. It is Bungle, though.

Pay attention.

Time for you to learn to use a primary;)
-
Just use your primary. Those guns do damage too.

If you just play the game with your primary you get plenty of special

1 ReplyEdited by Guardian: 3/22/2024 6:01:16 AMSo for example like this: Match starts, everyone got special ammo. This is the bar: —/—/—/—/—/ The vertical lines going through the bar represent tiers throughout the entirety of the match. The horizontal lines is the length of time that no special ammo drops on kills. As soon as the bar reaches the first vertical line(first tier)it grants special ammo on kills for a certain amount of time untill it stops as it continues to move to the next tier to grant special ammo upon reaching it. How would special ammo on kills work? It’s simple. When the bar reaches the first tier, shaxx let’s everyone in the game know special ammo on kills is granted. You can’t get the kill, but your teammates or teammate can….upon securing the kill an running over the special ammo drop it would then grant the entire team special ammo. Not just 2 shots, half a mag would be much better. This goes for your team an the enemy team, for only a certain amount of time before it stops as it builds up on the bar towards the next tier.
