It was horrible. They could have easily had 1 live stream to cover the content they want to cover in 3 streams. They really want to make this update seem like a bigger deal than it actually is.

9 RepliesWell, at least you were able to even attempt watching. Why in the world they set these streams during your standard work hours in the middle of the week (or sleep hours if you work a night shift) is beyond me.

It's just sad. Edit: No offense, but to me, it looked like the developers played a lot of Resistance - a horde mode from The Division, back in the days.

They are flailing in panic mode trying to think of ways to not default their company to Sony. When they said we would be going to the Last City, I should have known they would just be lazy and reuse a crucible map. Shame on me.

This was a very unexciting live stream. Those of you who did not watch it missed nothing. There were three words seen numerous times in the chat: boring, disappointing, repetitive. The Onslaught activity is another horde mode with recycled maps and the same enemies. Bungie expects us to play this for up to 50 levels. What were the developers thinking? It went on and on and on. Fifteen minutes later I was totally bored. At 25 minutes I walked away, left the stream on, and worked on something worthwhile.

Agreed. I was disappointed as well and I asked myself the question why do u even do a 1 hour livestream to present a „new“ seasonal activity (it’s not more for me tbh. And there are other games with imo better horde modes already (eG division 1 with resistance that got released 7 years ago). And if u release a horde mode why cap it at wave 50?!? I mean at least make it real endless. The top pve players ask always for harder / new content and if then this could have been THE chance. So they could beat each others highest waves. But yeah, sadly, imo this was a missed opportunity to increase the hype and pre order sales numbers for TFS. If u have 3 live streams u should start with a banger and finish with a banger and just show a new seasonal activity is pretty sad. Was really hoping to see something more exciting.

5 RepliesEven the guy who apparently made the activity or atleast took part in it and then playtested almost fell asleep. If it wasnt that sad, it would have been such a great comedic experience really. Imagine the laughing crowd audio from older comedy shows playing every 15 seconds. Would have fit perfectly. Like yea yea we get it Bungie white knights, its free blablabla. Guess what else is free. Warframe, Fortnite, Cod BR, PUBG, league, path of exile, tons and tons of other high quality games with CONSTANT quality FREE updates. This game on the other hand has an even more oppressive cash shop than these entirely FREE games i listed while it asks for 100 bucks annualy to play anything outside of the free trial they offer. So nah, it being free is no excuse to this comedic recycle fiesta that was shown. I've literally turned my brain off after listening to the uninspired devs talking about that reissued pvp map with mobs we've been fighting for 10 years in it spawning in waves. They clearly didnt like that trash either but were probably forced to sell it to us cause noone else volunteered. How can anyone with a sane mind be hyped after that? Like even tetris, a game from the 90's with the most simplistic gameplay loop looks more exciting than that garbage they presented to us. Sorry, not sorry.

Years of a "don't overdeliver" policy coming to a head. Now they're throwing out low production cost/time offerings in hopes it'll make a difference now that they're on Sony's -blam!- list. It takes years to make a great product, there's no way they've righted the ship this close to launch with only three extra months. Everyone, do what you want it's your money. But there's no way I'm giving them more money.

I feel you. And I add that I can't see the purpose of making THREE streams to talk about yet another "dunk-the-ball-horde-mode". They could've told everything yesterday but I guess they need to try to make it look like an extraordinary piece of content (it isn't) to hype players (it won't work).
