I LOVE the fireteam finder. As someone who usually only comes here to complain, I have to say I think it is one of the best things they ever did for the game. I have completed a bunch of achievements that I never would have otherwise. Dungeons, titles, exotic quests. I have never opened a single request that didn't eventually find players willing to join and help achieve. Also a good way to make Bungie friends. Eventually I will use it to complete at least one raid, something I've never done despite playing since the release of D1. For people like me who lead busy lives and don't have a lot of time for the social aspects of the game the fireteam finder is a critical new feature that should become a permanent fixture.

Yikes - if they are deleting the normal app finder which has free text that’s a bummer. All these other categories do my head in. The only upside is we won’t see the spam of the sites selling carries everywhere (but surely they could have detected and shut those down anyway which is just pathetic)

Old LFG, open it, drop down box, find what you want, click, scroll listings... Done... Simple .. easy... Effective... If you're making a post for LFG you could type a short description as to what you're looking for and click a couple of buttons. Not everything has to be over crowded and and have a heap of unnecessary crap like everything else in the gane already does. Also Stop with the namby pamby gotta make everyone feel good and protect the sensitive souls stuff...[/quote] Completely agree, the app LFG has existed for years and been polished for quite a while now, it was easy to use and everyone liked it, now that they replaced it with the beta LFG crap it's so terrible, why delete a working system that players like and replace it with an obviously worse version that everyone hates. Seems like they love working backwards. Bring back the old app LFG.

I've seen quite a few of these "Fireteam Finder is trash" posts, and having used Fireteam Finder quite a few times, I must say that it does what it needs to do - allows you to find a Fireteam quickly. LFG can be complex or simple, and almost all of these posts seem to want a more complex solution I.e. allow you to fully set out required parameters for anyone wanting into your group, as well as pre-raid social chat and scheduling. Fireteam Finder is intended to be a quick solution when you need a Fireteam for an activity quickly, so it gives basic options for you to set what you're doing/player requirements. Really, if you don't like Fireteam Finder, you can just ignore it and continue to use other methods - all you need is a forum, like this one, to post an LFG with your parameters. As players have other methods at their disposal, I can't see Bungie reversing track. This is their game and they've decided to favour quick Fireteam assembly over a longer, more complex solution.
