Here are some things you can do to talk to your clan mates / fireteam. 1.) If your clan has Discord, you can talk to each other through that. Go to your clan's page. On the left hand side you will see a menu, all the way at the bottom, you will see "Gaming." Click on that and you all should be able to speak to one another. Everyone has to do it though. 2.) Link your Discord and PS5...go into the Discord settings, then click on "Connections." After that, you can actually talk using D2. Again, everyone has to do those steps in order to speak with one another. These are 2 ways to chat with your teammates. Hopefully, Bungie will fix the issue so we don't have to use another app in order to chat in-game.
