19 RepliesAll I care about is gameplay & QoL, so idk what magic you're referring to from D1.
-
13 RepliesWhat do you mean by “magic”? Genuine question.
-
1 ReplyHell yeah. d2 is a sad joke compared to D1.
-
5 RepliesNah. I'll take Destiny 1 with Mantle. That's literally it.
-
11 RepliesNo we do not. D2 is leaps and bounds better than d1. Remove the rose tinted glasses.

1 ReplyWe all want that.

One thing worth mentioning is the old progression systems. Level and Vendors. Destiny 2 power levels are all over the place and constantly inflating with no end in sight. This removes a clear end goal for the player and just makes the game annoying as you have to grind again if you take a break. Not a fan of that at all. Plus, if you’re a new Destiny 2 player, you start off at level 1600 lol. That’s just so dumb. Vendor ranks stayed in Destiny 1. And I would argue that the rank up packages added so much fun to the game. In the sequel, our ranks go up and then reset all the time. Largely because the game in general has just been plagued and bogged down by the seasonal model. I prefer to earn ranks and keep them and would make the argument that this is more incentivizing to players to actually do activities. Constant progress that’s actually tangible. Not saying Destiny 2 is horrible but I think we need a rework to ranks and vendors 🤷♂️
