But how many people on console do you think are running third party software?

2 RepliesOn console I’ve never played against someone I could say was cheating. Some people are crazy with smgs and it’s hard to tell what’s skill and what’s software.

1 ReplyI think it’s much lower than some people claim. I play a lot of Crucible and I don’t see a lot of suspicious play (and even “suspicious play” doesn’t mean “definitely cheating”). I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve seen clips of someone “cheating” that could easily be explained by lag. Sometimes people don’t realise they got hit by multiple things simultaneously and assume their instant death was caused by cheating. I’ve been accused of cheating, despite never doing that. The funniest one was from someone upset that I stood on top of the brick walls on Rusted Lands (according to them, I was “cheating”). 😄

Considering there's hundreds of thousands of consoles and ten's of thousands of games available to play on them consoles, I'd guess there's thousands of players that use "software enhancing products" The relevancy of this question lacks context. Please do better.

Nowhere near as many as people think. Lots of player will blame others of cheating simply because the blamed player was better at the game or did something that they couldnt understand. Others also classify people who pay for carries as cheater or people who unknowingly play with cheaters. Another point of contest would be is controller on PC cheating when its supported. The actual amount of people cheating will be very small given the prices of the devices and while more people claim to come across cheaters the playerbase is far smaller than normal currently meaning while it seems like its more players due to increased frequency it isnt. When it comes to cheating most cases are like the early days of CoD, players getting outplayed and crying cheater or hacker like whining children.
