1 ReplyIf final shape doesn’t deliver, they’ll just add the final subclass. Personally I think they’ve already been working on it but they’re hoping Final Shape will sell on nostalgia alone, that way they can save it for when they really need it to get players back.

1 ReplyIf Final Shape fails. And fails hard. I dont necessarily think it will be the end of the Destiny franchise, BUT it will most definitely be the end of Bungie as they will then be fully absorbed by Sony as would be their right per the contract. So Bungie would definitely lose all independence and be fully under the direction of Sony.

Bungie is dead if Final Shape doesn't deliver D2s fate will be up to Sony -
1 ReplyIf their work is anything like how it's been the last couple of years, they might as well tell Sony they are done.
-
1 ReplyI can already see Sony rubbing their hands together, waiting to take over control of Bungie.
-
One more roaming super/striker clone for titan subclass and I'm done for sure.

3 RepliesIt just depends. I’m afraid they’ve written themselves into a corner with the lore. Light vs Darkness in game is supposed to be an obvious analogy to good vs evil. The Force vs Darkside etc. once we’ve defeated the Darkness what could possibly be left? Nothing can be a bigger enemy than darkness/evil itself. Fight the Darkness personified should have been the final game series ending. What’s the point in fighting anyone in a post Darkness/evil world?

1 ReplyEven if it succeeds it all fronts it will be dead shortly after Final Shape. Not a lot of people will stick around once the final chapter and raid are beat. A few will stay or comeback for the epilogue episodes, but the game will be truly dead either way.

Body topic no comments please just cast a vote as you see fit Please upvote so bungie become aware of the community feeling about this need to do this right the first time
If crucible gets neglected like it’s been for the last few years bungie is gonna lose their entire player base permanently

3 Replies100000% it’s going to be full-blown turbo dead. We’re already below CoO numbers. TFS will probably bring back a good amount of players, but if it’s a flop, it’ll drive away probably 70 - 80% of the playerbase.
-
7 RepliesThey are very much aware of how important FS is. They've said so on several occasions and pushed its release date for exactly that reason.
-
Doubt it, it will just be a much lighter version of destiny, probably no raids or anything that takes a lot time to develop.
-
yeah, but with the changes they are making looks like they will try to make a good dlc, kinda sad the destination hc is a 2burst
-
3 RepliesI think destiny 2 as well as bungie is dead even if final shape DOES deliver. There are too many of us who want to finish the story out but then are so turned off by bungie in general we have no desire to buy their stuff afterwards
-
Let it die. It's overdue. The only thing worthwhile witnessing is going to be YouTube. That will be unsatisfactory anyways. The gameplay will continue to be mindless nonsense like every campaign in D2 followed by meaningless side activities that have 0 effect on anything.

1st time not pre ordering. I see what reviews are like and what people think on here before buying.
-
1 ReplyI think destiny’s over regardless of sales with final shape isn’t it? Thought this was the end of D2.
-
11 RepliesIf TFS doesn’t come out and absolutely shake up the game the way Forsaken did then yes Destiny will probably cease to be a thing. It has to deliver and be great because if it’s not I can imagine Bungie pivoting to Marathon which I’m sure there’s a lot of players out there like me who won’t be buying it because of what’s happened to Destiny.

It better be

5 RepliesIt’s dead now. Broken and empty! Bwahahahahahaha!!! Welcome to hollowness!
Body topic no comments please just cast a vote as you see fit Please upvote so bungie become aware of the community feeling about this need to do this right the first time
Bungie already fully knows how the majority of the community feels, and they have done for years…. they simply don’t care!! And if they don’t know by now, they will never know & it doesn’t matter how many polls are done, they will still never know!!

Lightfall WAS the final shape.
-
I believe it is either way. Even if people log in to run the campaign, they will be done playing after.
-
1 ReplyI didn't vote. Votes are dumb. But if you ask my opinion, I think the game is a zombie. It's dead and been buried already it just doesn't know when to quit.
-
1 ReplyIsnt it already dead? Considering the low interest it has atm and my empty friendlist every single reset i login these days, its considered dead to me already. Bungies non existant effort made the game bleed players over the past couple of years up until this lowpoint. Theyve given up on Destiny.
