It's obvious with all the tools handcannons have (AA, inducing flinch, chunk damage) it would become apparent that a weapon that can have near-perfect accuracy with several "Kill Clip" style rounds should have the damage reduced. I guess not? No one sees the issue here huh? Memento Mori has no cool down like typical damage increasing perks. So why is it allowed?

2 RepliesI barely see Ace being used anymore , it needs a buff Magnificent Howl perhaps

Cause it’s fine?

People still use ace haven’t seen anyone use them for a while huh
-
cuz is balanced , and it got nerfed last season
-
Because there's absolutely nothing wrong with it lmao. It's neither obvious nor redundantly apparent that the damage should be reduced lol.

This post sounds like a skill issue
-
It’s momenta mori rounds actually got nerfed hard with range drop off so it’s not a good handcannon anymore
-
iirc, Ace of Spades is currently their "Golden Weapon" that is used as a base for everything else. Memento Mori doesn't actually change the TTK despite the damage increase unless you have both Radiant + a Surge or Empowering Rift active and that might change when the new Checkmate-Lite tunings hit the main Crucible.

Autos kill faster require less accuracy and more aa.

Bruh Ace isn't even that good imo. It has decent range for a 140 and an exotic version of kill clip and that's pretty much it, the rest of it is just mid to below average.
-
1 ReplyAce requires a kill to proc Memento Mori without the first kill it can't stack and has more kick, without that first kill its much harder to hit your shots, it takes a niche kill to get working and without it Ace kinda sucks. Hawkmoon has much higher aim assist and bullet magnetism, for an easier 140 that can probably kill faster, also random rolls means godroll perks can exist. The only thing Ace has that Hawkmoon doesn't is range. Due to the Thorn buff Ace has competition for range and power and Bungie probably wants to see data to how they line up before one gets an adjustment.

Because it was already gutted. It’s basically an SMG with MM. If you have MM active, it takes off like 4 meters of range. It fell off pretty hard. In addition to that, the stability is pretty low, so getting flinched by something like Igneous hurts pretty bad.

1. They nerfed it a while back, so that Memento Mori Rounds have less Range than base Ace bullets 2. Ace of Spades has low airborne effectiveness which is one of its weaknesses. 3. The reason to "why is it allowed" is because Ace of Spades is an exotic and I'll be damned if an exotic weapon perk is worse than kill clip that can roll on any blue rarity weapon.

3 RepliesWasn't it nerfed a few years ago?
