Profit is necessary for a company to stay in business, as are meeting deadlines.

Yup, that's true, but when Bungie has Sony bleeding them dry (leaving them with hardly nothing to work with) it makes Bungie push deadlines back, and have to fire people, as we saw in October. Sony has been bleeding and cutting them since they joined, and it's become especially apparent with the most recent interview with Totoki that they don't care about the quality of content, they just want deadlines to be met so they can get more money.

I'm sorry, you seem to be under the impression that Sony ordered the layoffs, which wasn't the case. Bungie still maintains autonomy despite the fact that they're owned by Sony. Not to mention, the problems you've attributed to the evil overlord were happening before Sony bought them, rendering your argument decidedly false. As for what was said about meeting deadlines, if I invested in a company I'd expect delivery in a timely fashion as well, wouldn't you?

Damn son

Perhaps I was a bit gruff with my response, but was any of it inaccurate?
