Sparrow control...lol...yet another bad idea

I just played Sparrow control a little bit, an interesting concept if they actually had big maps. Put the majority of maps in crucible are too small to make the use of sparrows making any sense lol. I rarely saw a single player on a sparrow....

  • They are so desperate. Just throwing things at the wall to see what sticks. Petrified of a Sony takeover. It's coming.

    • My only hope is that the map pack that’s coming has some combined arms’esque maps. That may be a pipe dream.

    • Bad idea because it will lead to Sparrow nerf and ruin PVE just like every nerf in the game.

    • I had a completely different experience earlier at reset. We had some big maps, actually most of the big maps came up and people were hauling -blam!- around trying to mow each other down. It was pretty fun. There are even medals you get for killing guardians with your sparrow. You can block entry ways with your sparrow and also blow them up to damage others. Honestly fun and refreshing.

      • I remember there being a gamemode like that in d1. Difference being, the maps actually were either made for that or just fit better than the maps D2 has.

        • They wanted to try increasing the vehicle gameplay and sandbox. It always blows up in their face.

        • Yeah played a few matches, absolutely no one used their sparrows lol. It’s not fun when the maps are the size of a pea 💀

        • Bungie will do anything in their power to not bring combined arms into D2.

It's just another version of Control. And it's almost a waste to actually use your Sparrow, because you either constantly hit walls or you're an easy target. To make matters even worse that bug in Patrol where Sparrows don't despawn? That's present here. Something that's charming in PvE is obnoxious in PvP. You know you failed when the whole concept of your game mode is completely unappealing.

        • IMHO: Sparrows need fixed WEAPONS and (our) HORNS (back)! 👈👈👈 Ease springs! 🫡

            • Try a mini-sparrow you can really maneuver with them, heck maybe to much. But its dang hard to kill other guardians with a sparrow. What might help is running with teammates and take turns doing some damage first and then running into them. Never run PvP with a team anymore (not since D1) so??? What I do have fun is using WishEnder to take out other sparrows. Now that's fun! Well for me not the other guy trying to run me over!

            • You probably didn't know this judging by your post but Sparrow Control is basically just what current day Destiny Combined Arms is.
