I mean does anyone at Bungie even give a crap about it? Or is it so low on the totem pole of priorities that it just doesn't matter? It's not Trials so it just doesn't matter? How bad do things have to get before someone decides to look into this?

6 RepliesYou are talking about a company that implemented legal wallhacks with a bow and a hunter subclass. Plus added more aim assist to their gunplay than any other shooter out there. They have absolutely ZERO clue about anything remotely balanced when it comes to pvp. Obviously they dont care a lot about fighting cheaters with tha background and mindset.

I've seen more very blatant, very obvious cheating in The Finals since it went live than I've seen in years of D2. I am NOT saying D2 doesn't have them, just that the nature of D2 makes cheating harder for an individual to detect imo. Aztecross did a reaction video to some people working on AI cheat detection. They estimated 20 - 30% of players are cheating. Seem high? Fine, cut it in half. Statistically its still likely there is a cheater in your 6s lobby, and in about half your trials games (assuming solo queue and fresh people each match). Take that info for whatever you want, I don't really have a specific point I'm trying to make. But cheaters are out there. You have played them in the past, and you will continue to play them.

3 RepliesI may not be able to speak to the cheaters on PC, but you and I are both console players. I play regularly, and I RARELY ever see anyone I can definitely identify as a cheater. I find it difficult to believe that you're able to either A) Identify cheaters better than me Or B) Matching more cheaters than me Which raises the question... What makes you think those players are cheating? And why are you matching them more often than other players?

3 RepliesProbably just controller players

Edited by ΞsnΛχΞ: 2/21/2024 5:07:12 AMThe sheer amount of smurf accounts should be indicator enough that this is a problem. Played a dude the other day who had blue armour and aeon swifts on - nothing masterworked ofc and the worst stats in the world. Top of the leaderboard. If you think that’s normal and not sus then you live on a different planet.

7 RepliesUr on console, theres so few console cheaters + who would risk cheating in 6v6. U just got outplayed tbh

PillowverseMarathon is Pre-ordered... - old
Its turning into Gambit. -
6 RepliesYeah getting shot through walls and these players with over 90% headshot accuracy on PS5 or XBox are so legit… After these past months it baffles me that their are still a lot of players who don’t believe it’s on console! Sure connection has it’s part of the problem but the numbers on these players profiles should tell you all you need to know…

2 RepliesEdited by Sleep_Leveling: 2/19/2024 5:28:42 PMBack when I was playing this broken and empty game, once I saw somebody with endless rocket launcher ammo in 6v6 PvP. He was shooting it all over the place and you can’t even see where he’s coming from, you just die from a rocket and then die again right after spawning from the same guy, and then die again after running around a corner soon after from a rocket coming from the same guy. I think I died 5 times from a rocket from the same guy and he’s nowhere to be found on the map! And that was in console too! Bwahahahahahaha!!! Game is broken and empty! Bwahahahahahaha!!! Welcome to hollowness!
-
Your on console I’m sure most were not cheaters I was in control yesterday and saw zero
-
3 RepliesYou ever heard of the god of the gaps fallacy?
-
5 RepliesEver play trials? battleye statistics reported 60% of Destiny 2 players have used cheats at some point :D Also Bungo fired their entire security team and back in like 2020 traded their in house anticheat for BE which has been known to be complete dookie.
-
Doesn't matter if you're on console or PC, someone is cheating every other match in some degree of it.
-
Its good everyone is getting this out of their systems.
-
Trials is worse
-
Just in a few control matches, and yep, something is definitely off! I noticed Sketchy movements and magical BS happening!
-
I played one match today and didn’t bother finishing it. The amount of times someone appeared behind me a killed me was something I’ve never experienced.
-
I am more concerned with how bad Bungie is with PvP. They can’t even make things they have control of better let alone cheating on top of all that.
-
Edited by Icon: 2/20/2024 5:10:02 AMI know this isn’t a thread about ToO but played a lot this week and today I was kicked from two games, played against someone who acknowledged and apologised they were lagging bad. The two games I got booted from my team was winning as well. Made clips and will report through the correct form with video evidence but it just takes the whole fun side out of it.

The question you have to ask yourself is, what’s more expensive developing a proper anti cheat for a game with free pvp and no monitaztion or let the cheaters cheat because this game is about to end. And there also paying customers. Aka we will work on the nxt game and make sure that pvp game will have it
-
Chester’s are rampant across all platforms now . Bungie is doing nothing. I saw something yesterday where the idea of making players who play non stop to be modders. Could be a fast way to eliminate people who cheat .
-
4 Repliesyeah is so sad, i find multiple cheaters every single game, i mean without cheating is impossible to kill me
-
3 RepliesIt's kinda crazy tbh. I can't tell you how many people I've run into that are .6 for seasons straight then out of nowhere they bump up to 3.0s with crazy headshot percentage. Bungie just won't b@n them because there's just so many of them at this point.
-
It depends on days. Last week I would say on Tue reset it's pretty acceptable, you might meet cheaters here and there but in general legit players are majority. Wed/Thur also fine... until buhmmmmmm Friday. Once Trials came out, cheaters out too, Friday nights are the worst, Sat pretty bad too, till Sunday it getting better again.
-
They don't care about trials either lol
-
Honestly the most pathetic cheating I have seen was in Gambit recently; once having super on first invade of 40 motes, and another time not being teleported back after the invade timer runs out, resulting in two invaders. Bungie really needs to crack down on legitimate cheating but after allegedly getting rid of many of their security team, it doesn't seem like they even care. All we can do is report and hope the understaffed team can handle it.
