Make the RNG system not so cursed
The RNG System is very cursed because I’ve spent weeks and months farming strikes and NFs and still not catalyst drops. And in raids I’ve seen people have the most clears not get exotics drop or having good boost drop chance and no exotic dropped. In my opinion the RNG system should not curse us all, we need a better RNG system.

In this game, the R in RNG is for Rigged. I've been at 1809 power for many, many weeks now, all weapon slots @1810 and 4 out of 5 armour slots @1810 ... every week, every single week, the pinnacle drops are always in the slots I don't need them. Yes, there's a 1 in 8 chance, but it feels like there is code there to stop me reaching 1810 to keep me playing. 😏

Definitely this, so frustrating. Logged in today to grind a lost sector for a hunter helm with better stats. 10 clears and not a single exotic drop. Gave up.

Woah there. You're gonna anger the weirdos who think running a raid 50+ times to get the exotic to drop after its been nerfed 3 or 4 times is cool.

Another thing for me has been the drop rates of exotics in the dungeons. I only have the lore items buff as solo flawless is a bs thing to force onto players. These activities are built around 3 people and they don't adjust the difficulty for only one person. I know it is possible, but I'm not putting myself through an unfun grind just for a small chance increase. I have seen some people have done many more runs than I have and still not got the exotics from those dungeons. I would prefer just doing an exotic quest and being done with it over multiple runs of getting nothing but garbage weapons and poor stat armor.

I’ve seen people who’ve done the weekly resets for Rose in comp for months just to not get the roll they want meanwhile Timmy who plays once a year gets it first try 💀

Mix it up. With Playlist catalyst drops I’ve had decent success with Gambit.

2 RepliesWhat is the catalyst that you are looking for? Normally these things drop in around 6/7 runs of vanguard, curcible and/or gambit. I'm asking to be sure that the catalyst you are looking for actually drops from those playlists. I'm pretty sure it does drop from those activities, but it does not hurt to make sense.

Usually crucible, strikes or gambit. I’d try running those for a little while and see if that works.

The Bungie RNG God has been a stingy sod since day one. Its not really an RNG drop as Bungie can fully tune the sample space and drop algorithm to be more helpful but they choose not to do it.
