2000 Silver for 1 Mass Effect armor set?
So I'm a Big Mass Effect fan. I played all the games multiple times, probably somewhere between 3 or 4.
I was really excited to see this collab In destiny 2.
But who in the right mind is going to pay nearly thirty dollars Canadian just to purchase 1 Armor ornament? 1...
Specifically, if you want to spend 2000 in silver in the game after taxes in Canada that was about... $28 and some change.
Seriously? Your player account is getting this low. The interest in your game is getting lower and the faith you build up in your community is dropping off a cliff and you decide to gouge just like this?
$5 For an ornament, sweet.
$10 For an ornament, Cool.
$15 For an onrnament, What the?
$20 For an orrnament, You're kidding?!
$25/30..... Have you lost it?
Destiny players. Do you think this greed has gone too far? Or am I just out of touch and have no idea what I'm talking about.

One thing I noticed is how they made the Ghost, Ship and Sparrow free. Like some sort of pathetic gesture to "p-please log in!!! we beg you!!!". I do also think Bungie doesn't make that much off those 3 cosmetic types because you can only equip 1 of each at a time, I think maybe we are approaching the end state of the live service microtransaction model where its harder and harder to sell cosmetics to players because they already have so many earned or purchased cosmetics already that another set of cosmetics isn't going to matter.

2 RepliesThe cost doesn't bother me as much as the lack of effort put into this game, and the amount of content removed from the game. When you take a game like Warframe looking at the cost of 1 ornament that was recently sold for $80 some might say that is being greedy. It is a high price and something I would never buy because to me no game is worth spending that kind of money on for an ornament even though the entire game is free to play. There isn't any DLC that you have to pay for that I heard of and none of the content has been removed that I know of so I see why the price is up there even though I don't agree with the price. Now when you look at Destiny you were paying $100 or more a year to access the entire game as the expasions were released, and you don't even get all the content that was added to the game. I love me some Mass Effect. So much so I have the Paragon and Renegade symbols tattooed on my wrists, but I can't even be arsed to re-download D2 for the free content, much less pay Bungie more money for the ornaments. Go buy the Mass Effect trilogy. It's cheaper than even just one ornament. Piss off Bungle.

1 ReplyHelldivers 2 is 40, and they broke 100k concurrent players on steam. Armor ornaments in that game are like 2 bucks and even then you can earn them for free. Bungie don't want us to play, only to pay. Then they wonder why only 30k are playing their game on steam and why the numbers have been in the gutters this entire year...

Modern AAA gaming is all about how dumb you have to be to throw countless $$$ at the screen for useless cosmetic and vanity items. Weird flex, but eh, what can you do? Back in the day, if a game was bad, it's diehard and brainwashed fans would at least tell you that you only didn't play the game because you sucked at it. Now, if you don't play a shitty game, you get told you don't play the game because you're poor. Crazy times we live in.

This is a simple truth that follows most businesses nowadays. If there is any doubt then just look back to Curse of Osiris and the controversies spawned during that era. Anyone who thinks Bungie has the players' best interests in mind are delusional or zombified fans who feel too invested to be critical of the studio. Stop supporting them and don't buy their products until it either hurts them or changes their approach. Only works when enough people realize and follow through with this.

Yes...i think this is also Payback on Bungies end..when we B###### about Armor sets in Eververse being based on Season Content...then the Eververse Armor started to look like C$$$...then CrossOver's started to appear...which look 10 fold better then the Eververse Sets.

Only ones that have had shitty launches that broke trust in their players.
