Starcrossed Boss Fight Update

A rock wall was added at the boss fight entrance to prevent anyone from using a shield piercing weapon from damaging the boss from outside the boss room. Now, you gotta go inside with the hordes to put damage on the boss. Bungie… you shouldn’t have taken something away without giving something back. Why not create a reasonable safe(er) spot in the boss room? Or, not have the Phalanx instantly respawn. A super fun replayable mission has been remade into a “one and done” (never touch it again after getting the bow). On a related subject, sword flying makes a mockery out of most legendary/master level raids and pve. Funny how that doesn’t get addressed…

  • Drop down hit boss with this seasons exotic hide around the corner in that area repeat when you run out of ammo swap to withhoard

    • Have you actually ever tried to find a good spot to be? Because on the right there is a spot where there are almost no enemies… Kill the yellow bar, kill the small vex and the flying ones, then its empty. Kill the second yellow bar so the rotating shield will disappear and thats just easy from here

The phalanex enemies don't respawn.

      • Have you tried Fireteam Finder? I solo'd all but the last week... it was my excuse to try Finder for the 1st time, it worked great. It's not the hardest solo legit, I did it 3 times... but, with a fireteam, you shouldn't have any issues.

But the entire point of removing the cheese spot was to ensure that the mission was played as intended. They can't give you anything back, because you weren't supposed to have the thing they took from you.             • The boss room has a giant stone wall for you to hide behind and people still have trouble doing the boss fight? How? The adds literally never bother you, except maybe a harpy or 2 that might fly near you. These can be killed in like 2 shots, wow so hard. Why are people mad that they can't break the encounter anymore? Why? How are players this bad? This is just like back in D1 when bungie fixed perma downing crota or when they made it so you couldn't push the templar or atheon off the map anymore. People got mad about this too. Why don't you people learn how to actually play the game rather than exploiting bugs and glitches!!! There's an idea for you. Gawd the bad players holy crap*. Bunch of bots!!!

            • To clarify the Phalanx doesn't respawn, there are just two of them and they wander over to whatever side you are at. At least, that's how it was when I ran through it the 1st time, and the rotating shield did get dropped. I am sure someone will find a way around it eventually but it isn't greatly difficult to be in the boss room as long as you pay attention to the buff timer.

                I played that for the first time the other day and could not understand why the boss spent so long pressed up against the entrance until I realized what my teammates were doing. Once you play the boss once or twice it really does seem like it would be faster to just fight the boss in the room. Maybe even on your first try with 3 people. After this last year I was about to blame Bungie for the boss pressed against the entrance, but I should have known better.

                • Boss is fairly easy. Grab your buff and use the right-side for cover shoot boss and repeat.

                  • skill issue , the only ''hard''' part of that boss fight is killing fast one of the 2 phalanx. and sword flying is not a problem , cuz spoiler parkour in raids/dungeon is just a side step of the raid/dungeon not like you know THE FINAL BOSS FIGHT
