Nerf Smgs, auto rifles and fusions

The SMG meta is awful. We established that spray weapons were awful back when hardlight was busted. The fast fire fusion buff allowing them to 1 shot is ridiculous and it's time for the developers at bungie to admit they don't know what players want or hire people that do

    The smgs have been strong for a while now. Anything gets old once its been at the top of the heap for a while. Smgs always made more sense when they played more of a secondary role, like fusions and special weapons are supposed to in general. Not sure why this game has specials that are supposedly secondary weapons being primaries but primaries that are primaries but should play secondary roles but they'll be primaries to challenge the specials. And its like that but at the same time there's still boundaries for what role primaries are supposed to play. At least "mathematically" sometimes.

          ... nerf smg its not a bad idee, fusion is not a bad idee... auto rifles ? LMAO wtf man? they are not bad in 6v6 but in 3v3 its hard for win a 1v1 versus a 140/120 hc

              Have you tried using range? Am I the only one out here that knows how to easily counter smg’s? Hand cannons have the advantage at range, they also have the advantage over auto rifles if you know how to peek shoot lol. Fusions? Yeah I hate them too but to say they are busted? Idk, smart players know how to easily bait it out by using cover. I dont understand why you guys claim it’s an smg meta, apart from immortal, there aren’t really other smg’s out there putting in the same amount of work. The meta has always been handcannons, even bungie has confirmed this multiple times over the years.

                      • Smg’s have been completely busted for a year and half. EIGHTEEN -blam!- ING MONTHS. They delete people at 20 meters and are incredibly easy to use. I am BAFFLED that they haven’t been seriously nerfed yet. They’ve gotten like 2-3 slaps on the wrists, but nope, they still reign supreme as the best, [i]easiest[/i] primary to use. It’s not even close. Auto rifles are nowhere near as a problem, outside of any that have target lock. I don’t think they need much Changing, but they definitely share some issues that smgs also create. Only reason why I say leave them alone, is because there’s only like 3 autos that are decent, and it’s all the same archetype: 450 precision. And lastly: fusions. Ever wonder why bad players always switch to a fusion rifle when they’re starting to lose? It’s because [u]fusion rifles are the easiest weapon to use in PvP by a country mile.[/u] Period. A simple mastering of precharging and you’re winning every gunfight. They do too much damage and have too much range, so take one away. Damage or range, but not both.
