Its getting crazy how many bugs and glitches are passing your QC, this week for example how did the disabled nightfall bug even happen, how did an error like that reach the public, its not some hidden or small encounter, its literally one of the biggest content pools in the game, the fact that even went public really does show how incompetent your inhouse test and quality control teams are.
How about you make the test server public, the one we can all see on Steam but cant access, im pretty certain a big chunk of the community would find these issues way before the patches went to the retail game, theres many games that do this already and it works really well, honestly theres no reason why it shouldn't be a thing for all live service games.

We are the test server

7 RepliesAbsolutely not, lol. It's called Gray Box. Because competitors would then have access... and malicious actors. The game would be less secure... and exploits, cheesing, and cheats are already bad enough in this game. A map editor, maybe something like that... But not Gray Box. Are you willing to sign an NDA that could bankrupt you, if you break it? Doubt it.

2 RepliesWe already are Bungie’s most competent testers as it is.

Edited by Andy: 2/2/2024 5:34:50 PMWait you think they test anything? It is obvious from the vast number of bugs that should easily be caught in any 5 minute play test that keep making it to release that bungo either don't test anything or their test environment or testing procedures are utterly inadequate.

OP: good post! ✅ Alternatively, BHQ could invite a broad spread of experienced players to ‘blind test’ (not publicly) the elements as required. They have the data, so it shouldn’t be difficult; and as a reward, create a special engram. Also, invite a team of mixed players from the YouTube / Twitch communities to do the same…and compare the results. They, too, would receive the special engram. Sounds good to me! 👈 Ease springs! 🫡

It passes QC because they have no QC.

1 ReplyThis would spoil the story early which is mainly what Bungie keeps close to their chest, along with other fun surprises, and personally I would hate to have to have it spoiled before I can even play it. However I agree that they need to have *outside* testing as people within the company are very likely to be used to how Bungie does things, or worked on the game themselves, and so bugs are not easy to find. Having some brand new players to Destiny paid to actually test the game before it goes live and under an NDA would probably be a good solution to finding such issues, especially as poor as the New Light experience is.

They simply need a live test server before implementing things. Had they done this along time ago then people wouldn’t have gone off the rails
Its getting crazy how many bugs and glitches are passing your QC
Not really considering they don’t have any lol

You’re not gonna believe where there qc is

2 RepliesWhat do you think we've been playing on this whole time?

I’ve said this for a long time.
