I love D2 and support it DAILY by playing the game because I love it and to help others.
Having said that, RIVEN'S WISHES is a failed attempt.
The rewards are very safe for you and lame for us. You are giving away materials, mementos, select exotic armor, and red borders.
Plus WHY are you giving Raid Borders away without doing the Raid. This is setting a precedence for future mess ups.
The quest is boring, lazy, and can only do ONE a week per account.
A better idea could have had you give Brightdust, Emotes, Synthweaves, Emblems, and Shaders.
That would have shown understanding and a level of being Sorry for pushing Final Shape back and having 6 months of no new content.
Bungie, playing it safe with these type of rewards and quest is a massive failure. You needed the above type rewards to make a buzz and bring back players to earn them in this content drought.
Paul Tassi even was like "No Thanks"
I'm trying not to give up hope. I want you to succeed. I hope this message is seen by who needs to see it. I hope the Into The Light is something other than doing public events and activities at the Dreaming City.

7 RepliesEdited by SaintX: 1/31/2024 8:53:14 PMYes because sitting there mindlessly doing a dps check on kali is doing the raid. Your point would have ground to stand on if: A) each time lw comes up its nothing but a kali cheese fest. And B) The raid itself has been out for so long ppl still can't do riven legit. Fix the cheeses then you have my vote, untill then no one cares.

Plus WHY are you giving Raid Borders away without doing the Raid. This is setting a precedence for future mess ups.
No it is not. 6 drops max for a raid that has no loot limitations when it comes to the encounters, meaning almost everyone has already noskill farmed this at Kalli anyway.
A better idea could have had you give Brightdust, Emotes, Synthweaves, Emblems, and Shaders.
So instead of items of gameplay relevance (for the people still needing some of these), you'd rather see cosmetics. I'd count the mementos as shaders because that is what we are using them for, so for those who already got LW weapons and don't care for the exotics or materials, there are still the out of season mementos. If you still don't care, feel free to have some relaxing time.
That would have shown understanding and a level of being Sorry for pushing Final Shape back and having 6 months of no new content.
In your mind. I'd consider it the same lameness from my own perspective and strictly worse for players with less investment.
Paul Tassi even was like "No Thanks"
That backs the claim how? I mean I agree on the no thanks (I enjoy the more time to spend in real life-part), but an irrelevant player with little understanding of the game does not increase the weight of your standpoint.

1 ReplyYou seriously think brightdust and shaders are better rewards than raid weapons and exotics? This has to be a troll. I really need it to be a troll. I can't live in a world where this is someone's honest take.

Edited by The Hermit IX: 1/31/2024 9:28:05 AMPlayers can craft the best legendary RL in the game, by running public events and lost sectors and you’re crying about it. Epic fail and shows how dumb and miserable a portion of the community is. It’s a bounty. If it bothers you that much don’t do it. I think it awesome blueberry’s with blue armor will be running around with a crafted Apex. I think that’s what’s bugging you. Good lord grow up.

19 RepliesThe same way you're complaining about the rewards, someone else would've been complaining if the rewards were what you suggested. 'Why are we getting cosmetic stuff, and not materials/red borders?' Point being, Bungie can't please everyone. You call it safe, but i think they choose items the majority would want. If you don't need/ want the stuff that comes with the wishes, then don't do the wishes.

Plus WHY are you giving Raid Borders away without doing the Raid. This is setting a precedence for future mess ups.
Red Border Last Wish weapons can already be obtained by inputting the proper codes at the Wishing Wall and opening the two hidden chests, without needing to have ever completed a single encounter within the Raid. (΄◉◞౪◟◉`)

I’m down for a taste of raid weapons w/o the raiding. That’s no mess up in my book. Thanks Bungie! Can’t wait for 1per character rather than account :)

Slippery slope they are on. Giving raid stuff away. I hope they add trials loot to this.
-
10 RepliesI don't understand why people want Eververse stuff that gets sold for bright dust all the time instead of things that are more useful during gameplay.

Fro. A veterans point of view it's meh.. not really much, I supose for a new commercial it's something

2 RepliesBungie has a huge problem with always patting themselves on the back for bad ideas and mediocrity. When the "don't overdeliver" slide leaked we should've known the game was going downhill. Lightfall was terrible and the rest of the year has followed suit. I miss being excited for weekly reset. I haven't felt that way I'm a very long time. My expectations cannot be lower at this point.
