Riven’s Wishes
Don’t get me wrong, I think it was a good idea to add this easy path to red boarder raid weapons, exotics and such into the game for players who don’t engage with the systems that reward them as much.
What bothers me is that the implementation is extremely stingy.
At this point in Destiny 2’s life cycle and with player engagement at a low, not too mention the longest season ever, allowing only 6 rewards spread out over 6 weeks is IMO overly stingy. 1 per character would have been a better start.
There are other, faster, ways to obtain these rewards even for solo players. So this implementation does little to incentivize players to log in, or help those that are hunting for multiple crafting patterns.

3 RepliesThis event isn’t remotely designed around delivering ’fun’ It is designed to test what players will endure for a red bar raid weapon It is not great when they design this way, with burnout grinds for mediocre rewards on top of existing already tired content

This is my problem with it too I NEVER GET TO EFFING RAID!!! and I'm gonna get one friggin weapon out of this like wow bungus thanks a bunch.. it's no wonder i have so many hrs on d1 and this game hardly any.. I can't wait to get my tyranny unlocked woooo thanks 😒😒😒

Given player sentiment and the current state of the game…and the news that Joe is jumping ship, the BHQ MisManagement bods have managed to upset the Community yet again, ie, 1x red border raid weapon / account / week x6. The mind boggles?! 🫤 SMH 🙄

1 account, once a week is like being thrown a bone with no meat on it. So you can do a lost sector 8 times and a public event for ether a exotic, 1 red box weapon and 1 of couple of materials. Seems like a gap filler that's almost pointless

1 ReplyThe stinginess is unreal. Like why? Who suffers if we get more tokens? How can this company fire a hundred people and still double and triple down on the same misguided strategies? One wish token … played for an hour. Ok, see you next week. It is just utterly stupid.

1 ReplyHaven’t hopped on today—checking the forums to see the ‘make a wish’ deets (not covered in today’s update article, either). Not good to see 1 wish per account each week. Agree with those that have said 1 per character would have been nicer. 6 weeks = 6 and not 18 red borders is a little disheartening when there are several spicy rolls from the raid I wanted to try and admittedly got excited for when I heard about this feature. Hopefully it’s changed for the better soon!

The funny thing is, in a matter of time, the last Wish is going to be vaulted and weapons also. The game right now needs a formula to bring back players but Bungie still looking and searching.

I understand not wanting to have rivens quest repeatable for raid weapons. Fine…. Make raid weapons redeemable once per account per week…. But the shards and momentos should be a repeatable quest. Like I don’t understand why bungie is always so short sighted

8 RepliesIt's honestly not even worth it. Six weeks to get one crafted Wish weapon? You could run Last Wish once a week, for six weeks to craft a weapon and have a chance at getting more while you're at it. And unlike Riven's Wishes, it's not account based. Even solo players, just use the Wish Wall, go to Shuro Chi, and get the free chest on your characters.

If they want it once per week per account, just leave the wishes up all season, what, 20 weeks? Then everybody can get whatever they want to be ready for TFS.

Bungie really doesn't get tired of taking Ls I had some slim hope for these but it's just more crappy hardly rewarding busy work to keep their player count numbers up

3 RepliesIt was actually kind of fun tonight, I log in, pick up a bunch of gunsmith and Riven bounties and head to Dreaming City to run the public events. There are TONS of people in zone now, even some 10s and 11s in zones. We farm some chests and materials, smash the heroic PE a couple of times and it was like old times when the game felt alive. Then I swapped to my other character and realized the quest was 1 per account and was like...oh well that was fun for about 2 hours, see you next week.

2 Replies'Extremely stingy' is an understatement. Suppose you dont raid, and want to get the 'offered' raid weapons. The best of it would be to craft the one you want eventually. Event runs for six weeks, you can earn one wish per account, per week. A grand total of 6 wishes, should you want to grind out the bounty for each. Ability to craft a weapon = 5 x red border of aforementioned weapon. This means someone willing to grind can earn one, that's one, craftable weapon of their choice. Wishes to spend on Ascendant Shards and Alloy's is pointless. They can easily be earned through a chamber of wishes run. I'm convinced there's a 'great ideas' department at Bungie who come up with the good stuff. Then there's the 'sabotage the game' department, everything has to go through those guys. And Voila, Riven's Wishes in its current iteration.
