At this point in PvP, threaded spectre has become just as bad if not worse than shatterdive. It's one of the most annoying things to go up against because it is always active, baits radar, and completely messes up aim assist. None of the other classes have anything remotely as annoying. It took one year to nerf shatterdive and bring it in line. Please don't take as long with threaded spectre. The last thing we need is more ways for hunters to play cowardly. A good nerf would be increase the cool down by a lot and make it so that aim assist isn't affected or drawn to the spectre. I'll never understand why bungie gives hunters the most broken things and let's them have it for as long as possible.

1 ReplyNot nearly as bad. Shatterdive allowed you to one shot any super and the blast radius made pre-nerf Tcrash look tiny plus at the time it was VERY easy to get the grenade back like a build could easily allow 1 every like 7 or so seconds meaning you could spam this one shot ability.

1 ReplyEdited by Hawpy: 1/29/2024 3:55:19 PMProposed nerf - Threaded Spectre should only make Threadlings when it explodes by proximity. This means there's no punishment for opposing players destroying it from afar, and makes it so Hunters can't make Threadlings out of them at will. If that's not enough, increase the cooldown by a lot but perhaps make damage caused by the explosion boost recharge rate, so you're rewarded for using it well instead of throwing it out wherever - maybe this could be the function of an Exotic, so having it be effective with high uptime means is can't have extra charges or bonus effects like Wormhusk heal.

Little baby clone scary for ya. How about you don’t touch it. Just sayin dude

Punisher of Porcelain™😂👍 - old
At this point, I think y’all just argue and complain just for the fun of it -
2 RepliesReaching with that title. It's not as bad as shatterdive, but it is still hilariously overpowered. Its functions as a: -Physical Decoy -Radar Bait -Proximity grenade -Threading spam that can be detonated by the user or the enemy -An actual shield -Aim assist disruption ...all on an extremely short cooldown, that can have two charges with an exotic. This doesn't even mention all of the other ridiculous amount of buffs that can also come with hunter dodge. None of the other classes have anything remotely close to this. A simple double dash in the air was too much for warlocks to have, yet hunters are somehow fine with this much utility from a single ability.
-
Not even close, but whatever. We already know is getting killed in pvp and pve. It's how Bungie do these things...
-
It’s just laughable that so many put on six coyote and play like a -blam!-. It’s a PvP game just play some gun fights win or lose don’t matter. Invis is the same, with graviton, basically also not to be seen. Why play like a -blam!-

I want pre nerf shatterdive back please Bungie. Whatever happened to the promised stasis buffs?

Knockout, handheld super nova, og stasis titan, double dodge icirys dash, dunemarchers, ophidian aspects, invisible lighting slide melee, bubble on the lowest cooldown, pks, lorilei splendor, hoil, one eyed mask for 2 years and 4 nerfs, anteus wards, synthocepts, nova warp, stasis warlock og and now. There is more, but this should get the point across. Saying hunters get the most op stuff is just dumb. For the majority of things hunter has, I would take a titan or warlock counterpart.
-
not even close, need a nerf 100%
-
43 RepliesGet good and learn to not shoot at decoys? Seems like all you want is a way for Bungie to make the game easier for you.
-
Threaded Spectre absolutely needs a nerf but it hasn't remotely approached what shatterdive was. Like not even close.
-
3 RepliesAren't you crucible players the ones that always scream to adapt to the sandbox and git gud? Why is it when something you don't like comes up, now everything needs to get nerfed?
-
Edited by NotCreative123: 1/29/2024 2:53:16 PMThreaded Spectre is annoying and needs a nerf, but it's a tame ability when compared to the metas of the past, like: 1) Any Stasis ability on release 2) Khepri's Sting Wall hacks 3) Lorely Splendor healing / damage buff 4) Stag / Omnioculus massive damage reductions 5) Behemoth Titan Ice Overshield 6) Young Ahamkara's Spine Tripmine spam 7) Original Wormhusk's massive healing 8) Original One Eyed Mask wall hacks and damage boost 9) Citan's Ramparts with 16-second barricades 10) Tracking Storm Grenades on Arc Titan 11) Empowering Rift One-Shot Bows ...And many, many more... Don't exaggerate or rewrite history to prove a point. Yes, Threaded Spectre is the biggest problem in PVP right now. But if any of these other abilties were still in the game, then they would be bigger problems.

Nothing has become as bad as shatterdive and I think in the history of destiny nothing ever will.
-
5 RepliesI rather fight threadlings than Auto lock shoulder charges that one hit Arc souls Titan shields Heal rifts Void soul that takes for ever to destroy The void knock back super Warlock and titan roaming supers that are hard to kill Hunters have the weakest supers and abilities for PvP especially strand and stasis.
-
People that hold W when something stops them from holding W.
-
I don’t use strand hunter at all and facing it in ToO can be annoying but I don’t feel it’s like stasis bad when that first came out. If it impacts PvE or hunters dodge overall then it’s a no for me. They literally fade away if left alone, maybe a visual prompt on screen to help with radar manipulation would be an idea.
-
2 RepliesAt least make it so bullets always go through them. It's seriously not fair that it can double as a shield.
-
19 RepliesEdited by Obi-Juan: 1/29/2024 3:39:21 AMAh yes, nerf the cooldown by a lot when someone has specifically put on class ability regenerating mods so that if you don't have those mods on your class ability will now have the uptime of a super. Genius idea. This is why PvP will never be in a good spot.
-
Shatterdive was actually busted, a “clone” that is very easy to see that it’s not a real player is not. Maybe you’re just bad?
-
Here is a box of tissues before I down vote this 🤣😂🤣
-
Pick one. Shatter dive or threaded spectre. Hunters need a way to counter those broken titans and perma-healing warlocks.
