like really, this guardian has done more in 10 years then like everyone else combined and no one thought to ask "what's your name"
-
1 ReplyI guess they did that so you can insert your own name

4 RepliesOur guardian does have a title. They are called THE Guardian. That’s the extent of it, and it is pretty generic, but we do have a title. Ghost also has a nickname. That being Little Light. Do we ever really call Ghost such a thing? No. But we do have a title to address him by should the occasion arise. Furthermore, this does not include all the tribute titles we have earned Youngwolf Iron Lord Hivesbane Hero of the Red War Travelers Chosen (Not the Sidearm) Etc.

Doomslayer

1 ReplyCause everyone already knows the guardian's name is Fred.
-
Spider was the only one that made it work. “What does my guardian need?”
-
6 RepliesIt’s more jarring the longer it goes on. Ghost too.
-
As near as I can figure from studying the extensive lore and ingame conversations I believe the "canonical" name for the Guardians is Jeff.

3 RepliesThere likely was supposed to be a reason, considering TTK had special dialogue showing something about us was keeping our Ghost from reading our mind as it should. But considering how they just gloss over the Collapse as some Deus Ex Machina butt kicking, there’s only room for one or two cliffhangers. Either someone who was in position to turn against their people or someone who died defending them Or We are one of the principle entities who died in the fight while/ coming back in disguise to prove the argument of The Deep vs The Sky. Otherwise we’ll just be a nobody. I suppose ‘the common man’ theme?

1 ReplyI have named and given fanfic backstory to my three separate characters. My human Titan is named Rusty and he is a prior Russian soldier who died in some forgotten war in Old Russia. My awoken Warlock is Khonsu, an awoken of The Reef who died in the battle with Oryx when his Ceres Galliot gets shot down and crashes into a moon of Saturn. My exo Hunter is Rattles-2 (Rattlesnake) an American from the Old Southwest who went to Clovis prior to the Collapse and was made into an exo, he dies in the collapse. From previous resets he understands he has had one reset hence the 2, and after being revived his ghost identifies a nearby threat from a rattlesnake which he found fascinating enough to name himself after while adding the 2 for his resets.
