I’m not sure if it’s a console issue or something is wrong with my hunter solar build. lately I’ve been trying to really improve my PvE experience by watching a ton of youtube videos and gameplay by destiny content creators. One hunter solar build in particular seems to be the most common between different CC’s so I’ve stuck with this one. Blade barrage/ shards of galanor. The build is set up to where “restoration” procs very often so that you have much higher resistance to oncoming damage and can keep your health up. However, regardless of how high my armor resistance is and no matter how long I keep “restoration” active it seems to honestly not do anything for my hunter. I get brought down to red bar within seconds and the time in between taking damage the health bar is not recovering like it should be. All the videos I’ve watched people are seriously effective with it as they seem to never get down to red bar and if they do their health regens super quickly. I just feel like I’m either doing something wrong, something within my hunter build is not correct, or it’s simply bugged. After spending quite some time researching I haven’t found anything wrong with my build or how I am actually playing. I can’t even make it to the first damage phase in the first encounter in warlords ruin dungeon but on youtube people with the same exact build as I have make it look like strike level difficulty. I would love for some help !

1 ReplyTwo things to consider: 1. When were the build videos you’ve been watching posted? Restoration values were reduced with the launch of the current Season. From the patch notes for Destiny 2 Update 7.3.0, posted November 28th:
Restoration • Reduced healing rate at restoration 1 • Old: 40hp/s (PvE) - 20hp/s (PvP) • New: 35hp/s (PvE) - 17.5hp/s (PvP) • Reduced healing rate at restoration 2 • Old: 65hp/s (PvE) - 32.5hp/s (PvP) • New: 50hp/s (PvE) - 25hp/s (PvP)
If the build videos you’ve been watching were posted prior to the start of this Season, it might explain the difference in survivability you’ve been experiencing. 2. What is the recommended Light Level of the activities in which you’re seeing the discrepancies? Is it an activity in which the difficulty increases as you progress (eg. Coil, Dungeon encounters). How does your Light Level compare to those of the players in the videos to which you’re referring? Depending on the activity in question, an increase in five to ten Light Levels can have a pronounced effect on your survivability. (΄◉◞౪◟◉`)
