I was thinking about some of my favorite exotics throughout the years, and I found it funny how Revision Zero is more of a multi-tool than Mida. This is only because Mida is an older weapon, but luckily in this case, this game is live, and can be updated. So I had an idea that seemed like it would make Mida a bit more interesting/fun. Not meta by any means, but not useless either.
I’m sure a lot of people heard of the “Make it stun all champs” idea, and I wanted to borrow from that, but not make it as blatant as shooting any champ and getting a free stun.

So what if the Mida catalyst or exotic perk in general was reworked to add nodes in the weapon’s screen where you can manually select Barrier, Overload or Unstoppable, similar to how you can pick between the Light and Heavy burst on Revision. This would obviously make it more useful in PvE than it is now, but also add a little bit to PvP. Barrier weapons effect Titan barricades, giving people more ways to counter them, Overload rounds make your opponent deal less damage, and Unstoppable rounds (don’t know for sure) make opponents flinch harder.
Just an idea I wanted to put out there. There’s probably more to be desired, but if these changes alone were made, I’d give it a try, because I always liked Mida. It was my favorite weapon in D1, even. I guess if the champ modifiers aren’t good enough, they could maybe also add other small bonuses of some kind for each respective node, but that’s all I’ve got. If you read all of this, thanks.

2 RepliesGive it rapid hit and it’ll be usable. Mida was my main gun in early d2 good times

Compare to Stompees, they reworked them multiple times and the result was few bad years in pvp and watered down version as of today. All Mida needs is the reactivation of high caliber rounds in pvp. And a white shader.

I’d like it to be able to switch between scout pulse and auto fire modes by holding reload

1 ReplyAnother good idea, posted here? What are these forums becoming... constructive?!?! This is seriously a great idea.

1 ReplyMake the fire mode selectable by holding reload as opposed to waiting for a menu screen, let it swap like how Hardlight fire modes swap.

2 RepliesEdited by NotCreative123: 1/26/2024 4:51:19 PMJust don't mess with it in PVP (but I would love antibarrier to shoot down Barricades)

7 RepliesAll I think Miss needs is the catalyst to be changed to Kinetic Tremors. That alone would bring it out the vault.
