PvP meta garbage
Are there any PvP players left that don't use hand cannon, shotgun, or bows? Shotgun apes are worse than they were when Dustrok or Mindbenders ruled pvp. Every match I get hit with, the ability spam, then shotgunned over and over. Every opposing teammate is all running hand cannon. I personally like pulse/sidearm, which is extremely frustrating because I feel a huge disadvantage. I really hate using hc, shotgun, or bows. There's nothing to learn because you get easy, no skill involved kills.

1 ReplyI literally try to use weapons that are hard to win with just so I can have a different experience than the constant 2-4 load outs everyone without a brain or a spine uses. I feel you bro, it’s old AF getting 3 tapped at 400 yards with a 120 🫠🫠🫠

7 RepliesWhat a biased take - even for the Forums Everyone uses what they have the most fun with or what they think they play the best with. If you want to handicap yourself by not using your "best" loadout, then that's on you. Don't get mad at someone for trying to win - it makes sense that the one who tries the hardest usually performs the best How difficult something is to use is entirely subjective. For example, players who have poor aim find most success with Jotunn, but players who have good aim struggle with Jotunn compared to other weapon types. You're generalizing an entire set of players just because you find what they're using to be "easy." I absolutely 100% hate the mindset you have. It is the worst part about this game.

6 RepliesI can imagine running double primary is frustrating because you ARE at a huge disadvantage and it's all your own fault. Also if it's so easy to get kills with hand cannons, please do us all the favor of equipping for one game and getting your We Ran since it's so easy and involves no skill.

I'm using everything. Lately, the randomized crucible bounties have been for auto-rifles and pulse rifles. If the game tells me to use one of those then I'll use them. Of course, I'm also multitasking between many crafted weapons and one catalyst at the moment.

Hand cannons, shotguns have been the staple of destiny since it began. Dog fight is lost in pvp

1 ReplyHC+SG or HC+Sniper is often considered the morality loadout. Quick swapping with a bow or playing side arms & fusions are loadouts that allow a player to artificially elevate their ability beyond their actual skill band. Bungie has spoken about this before, this is not a personally opinion or "take" on the topic. TWABS/TWIDS have discussed how certain weapons allows a player to perform out of band, such as DMT or TLW.

1. Hcs and shottys are not broken cope harder it’s a better meta than anything else 2. It’s arguably not even meta with smgs rn 3.this is pretty rich coming from a dude who’s using double primary auto and sidearm which have a much lower skill ceiling than shotty or hc

I love using these pulse rifles: Vigilance Wing, No Time to Explain, and Graviton Lance.

Vigilance Wing is a great pulse rifle in PVP, pair it with Aeon Gloves with Sect of Vigor to get multiple buffs on teammate deaths.
