Crucible matchmaking is different and worse
I know what everyone is going to say - "population is down" - "matchmaking is always bad" - no, this is different. Something is going on. Very good players are getting matched with very bad players, and of course lobby balancing feels random AT BEST.
Just had a match where the efficiencies of one team ranged from 1.7 to 12.5 and the other ranged from .4 to .9. It was a pointless match. Nobody learned anything, the outcome was a foregone conclusion before it even began.

Guess who got put in the 5 man of blueberries…hmmm…me of course because bungie says “Hey you’re somewhat decent, now carry them” Obviously we lost, and oh look, 3 of them didn’t even break past a 0.5KdA that match 😂 Crazy! How a match later bungie gives me a “solid” game where we actually do well and win. Also crazy how it says “CBMM” but that match we faced people who clearly are not from CBMM
