I'm not asking for the game to be a cake walk but you have some of the best exotics behind some of the hardest content. Please lower the difficulty of the legendary lost sector a bit so it can still be challenging but can also be soloed if one chooses and either boost the drop rate or at least have a grantee drop after so many completion. I was finally able to complete one on my own three times and still no exotic bs!
-
But There not even hard
-
Legend sectors are easy. If you are struggling you honestly probably need a better understanding of how to optimize each subclass and armor setups. Or to just play way more patient.
-
I use the @Vexnetassistant twitter alerts for the Vex Strike Force event on Neomuna. Got all the new exotic armour for each character from there.
-
Legendary isn't that bad, just take ire time and be careful

You received some good feedback here when it comes to building your loadout. Thats what it's all about these days. Don't forget your seasonal artifact - Queensfoil. Canser. You can adjust for mission requirements. For solo Lost Sector select Solo Operative as one choice. For this one pick Solar perks Kindling Trigger, Torch, Flint Striker + Overload Rocket Launcher and Blast Radius to go with the Meta Dragon's Breath rocket launcher. On Hunter, a couple of effective and relatively simple subclasses to get the job done are Solar and Stasis. On Solar, if you have access, use either Celestial Nighthawk or Shards of Galanor + Healing Grenade. On Stasis, either Mask of Bakris or Wormhusk can bail you out + Cold snap Grenades to freeze coupled with your super. If you don't already have one.....go to Shaxx the crucible vendor and decrypt engrams until you get a Riptide fusion with Chill Clip. Works wonders. Regarding drop rate for the gear you're seeking, 3 completions isn't that many, honestly. My experience, on average it's usually closer to 6 completions or so. But it is random RNG. I've gone in and reveived exotics on both 1st and 2nd completions.....then whiffed 10 times in a row. Keep banging away, you'll get your drops.

I just recently did a lot of lost sectors. You can check my history, not sure how many total. Maybe 20, I’m guessing. I probably averaged a new exotic every 3 runs or so. They’re not bad my guy, you have to have the right mods and loadouts and then keep playing them. They get easier the more you do.
-
Lost sectors aren't anywhere close to the hardest content in the game, and should be used more like a place to practice good habits for when you start running said harder content. Learn what weapons are strong, what weapons and abilities have good anti champ effects for the ones listed. Where to enemies spawn, where can you stand that it safe. There IS a discussion to be had about the less than ideal loot the system currently has, but thats not a conversation until you start consistently clearing solo in 3-6 minutes of each lost sector. (They also added secondary loot to farm in lost sectors this season, apart from just the exotics, which gives them a second thing to farm at the same time if you want certain world drop weapons)
-
1 ReplyLS should stay as they are, they dont need to be made easyer because you want an Exotic. When you want one then put in the effort and time like anyone els did. And when you want a new Exotic then you can do the Vex thing, then its a guranteed Exotic.

6 RepliesI'm a mediocre player at best, and I was able to solo legendary lost sectors on my hunter and warlock with little to no trouble. I was able to solo Perdition on Europa at the master level using wishender for barriers, a hand cannon for unstoppables, and a rocket launcher for overloads. Piece of cake.
-
Just run P Lance like every other bot is at the moment lol
-
2 RepliesHandcannon primary Solar sidearm Dragons breath Master, skydock, 3 mins Stun unstops & rocket Rocket barrier & sidearm shield mid burn Burn boss with 2 rockets You're 1810, you should be fine but your loadout is cheeks

Edited by Northern: 1/21/2024 10:35:22 PMRun Vex Incursions instead, 10 minutes, and a guaranteed exotic at the end. Hit YouTube up and get a good build sorted. That's what I did, and now I can solo flawless master lost sectors. Most of the time, I don't get an exotic for a master solo clear with all champions killed. Playing legendary, the drop rate is worse.
-
11 RepliesI don't mind them being at the level of difficulty they are now, but the exotic should drop every single time, it is very disrespectful of a players time to give them a few cores and some glimmer at the end of a run.
-
They are not too hard as long as you play your life. However we should get exotic drops every single time
-
I used to struggle with these but as I’ve practiced and learned I get by OK with most (have all the sector exotics). Nowadays I’ll go in just to test out champion loadouts. They are a good testing ground for this. Had my share of frustration with them! Note that some are much easier than others (Neomuna ones I mostly skip). As others have mentioned— if you just want the exotics, the Vex Incursion is very quick and you can probably even get carried. You need to sign on to a way to get notified of them. Like via Twitter/X: @VexNetAssistant (many Destiny Discord servers have a channel for this too). Good luck! 🍀

I'm on a Hunter and have been having fun with this set up... maybe it could help. Resistances might need changed depending on the lost sector and all. https://dim.gg/qtzir2i/STRAND-WHIRLING-MAELSTROM

It’s definitely, probably a loadout issue. What’s your go to PVE loadout?
-
If your struggling what is your power level? After reading this post I went in to the current lost sector to give it a try. Skydock, solar threat, anti and unstoppable. I was on well warlock with no solar mods on my chest, cryo side arm, legendary void bow and solar rocket. 4 minutes, didn't use super and only used 1 rocket. So they are definitely not difficult especially if you would use the mods and a good load out.
-
Are you putting Solo Operative on your aspect? It provides a damage buff. To be honest, with all the options we have now with subclass builds, and better weapons, they are a lot easier than they used to be.
-
most legendary lost sectors can be easily completed in under 3 minutes lol
-
They aren’t even hard man it’s like a 5 minute endeavor

There's a bot on Twitter and Discord that tells you when it's about to start.

Legend and master lost sectors as easy as they are. Most of the time it is solar surge. So slap on ghallahorn and 3 solar reserves. 10 rockets should be plenty to nuke all the ads on your way.
-
How do you make them easier and still be challenging? Can hardly call them challenging as is.

Some lost sectors even on master level are under 5 min. Runs. If you struggle, get your light level up and they become much easier.

Edited by rednayeL: 1/20/2024 8:38:30 PMThey definitely should reward new lights more often, makes sense since they have such a huge amount of catching up to do. In another mindset, this is the perfect opportunity for you to really get better at the game. Always be behind cover to start, and peak in and out of cover to shoot you enemies. When ads don’t see you, they stop shooting you mostly, adding the fact that by the time bullets get to you, you’re already not there anymore. Also, get used to tracking incoming fire, which is mostly pretty slow, other than snipers. If you look at a sniper, you can tell when he’s about to fire. You can stand in front of a boomer, jumping and strafing and he’ll never kill you, unless your back is against a wall. Destiny is a game where knowledge and understanding are more important than pure skill. Understand your enemy and you will be a conqueror! Lol, it’s a game but still true. The more you play hard content, the better you get, this is the way.
