Anti-Barrier Pulse Rifle, Please.

Let’s be honest, Pulse Rifles make poor Overload weapons and having only sidearms with intrinsic anti-barrier functionality sucks. Please make this change. And, yeah yeah yeah… Flint Striker & Polaris Lance/Solar weapons. Yada yada yada. I’ve heard it before and it’s still a dumb argument so save us both the time.

  • Its very true some weapons work better for some champ mods, and other are worse. But thats exactly why we have perks an abilities in the game to alleviate that now. Like someone else said, kenetic tremors helps make up for pulses natrually poor anti overload performance. You also have suppression, jolt and slow also stunning these champs. For players who went to get it, Divinity, one of the games best support weapons, intrinsically has this champ mod, and does wonders. Weapons that have these 3.0 class verbs like wicked implement, le monarque, thunderlord, or any jolt shot weapon, also do the trick. Now more than ever, don't feel boxed into the season anti champ weapons, use them when its helpful, but look to other options when its not as much

  • What about a pulse rifle with kinetic tremors? Worked great for me.

        • There really needs to be a special weapon focused anti-champ mod every season, making there only be primary and heavy options is not it (especially when AB Sidearms is dependent on RNG or sending your exotic slot)

        • As a rule, I believe GM modifiers should be coherent/consistent with the artifact. Having shotguns, snipers, fusions as overcharged weapons in a paradigm of sidearms, bows, pulse and auto rifles feels like designed by some negative IQ dev.

          • Revision Zero pulse rifle is anti barrier and good for long range. Also good for taking out grenade tossing ads.

            • I actually forgot sidearms are anti barrier. ive just been using anything solar for radiant antibarrier with artifact mods.

                Purple pulserifles are poor no matter where you put them. They are the worst primary weapon type for pve. You shoot at enemies for a brief time to then have AB is not much different from always having it. You don't count it because you don't want to count it so you can pretend to have a point.

Side arms require the seasonal mod to make them anti barrier

                        Worst thing with Anti-Barrier sidearm is that it's screwing with the new sidearm from the dungeon. It's been causing issues with any projectiles weapon since champs came out and Phalanxes/Hydras just become unkillable with it as you hit the shield and the shot become a dud, dealing no damage.

Pulse Rifle’s with Kinetic Tremors are actually S Tier for dealing with Overloads. Outbreak is also good. 2. Do you know what intrinsic means? Because there are no Sidearms with intrinsic Anti-Barrier in the game. 3. You refusing to accept the fact that there are multiple different ways to deal with Barriers doesn’t equate to a so called “dumb argument” on the part of other people.

                          Revision Zero. Your post made me try Polaris Lance with radiant tonight in a lost sector and I shredded barriers with it. But RZ with Vorpal melts barrier and any other stunned Champ.

                        • What are you talking about? With how Overload works, Pulse Rifles are arguably the best at stunning them. One burst and they're stunned. Tack on Kinetic Tremors on something like Battlescar and you're good. What you should be annoyed with is that they're not necessary thanks to Riptide existing. Although I'm quite glad that tool exists because I think Champions are a terrible system that never should have been implemented but then I don't enjoy game devs dictating how I play their "build-focused" games.

                        • I just go the flow… That way I find out things like… Did you know that there is a side arm does THE most amount of dps out of any other non power weapon? I did not. I do now. Now I am addicted to the gameplay with it.
