Oathkeeper Improvement or fixes
I feel really strange so few people talking about usage of Wish-Keeper (Vorpal Weapon Refit) with OathKeeper to deal Minibosses like Champions.
I see a video on YouTube from Geist from 7 months ago about OathKeeper.
So I think OathKeeper should be revisited and have better improvements or fixes.
I think OathKeeper with an exotic bow like Wish-Keeper (Vorpal Weapon Refit) could be as effective as Malfeasance with Lucky Pants.
Note: PvE Context.

Edited by Amazinite: 1/20/2024 5:53:48 PMI used Oathkeepers the other day and was really underwhelmed. +150% damage is cool, at least until you realize that you have to fire 3 to 4 times slower to get it, meaning you'd have been better off just firing as soon as you hit perfect draw. I get that the trigger for the damage bonus is extremely easy (literally just hold your draw), but I'd expect an exotic armor piece's damage bonus to not be a DPS loss for using it. Lucky Pants has a similarly easy to trigger effect (just swap to your hand cannon), but is a massive DPS increase at the same time, with the only drawback being the cooldown. I'm not asking for Oathkeepers to provide the same DPS bonus as Lucky Pants, but the increased damage should at least make up for the time it takes to get it.

By the time you can the charge the shot for max damage you can exceed that dps with multiple shots while being mobile. It's better to use foetracer and match the bow to your subclass, Wishkeeper foetracer is the kit for PvE dps. The problem with an Oathkeeper's rework is... what could they do that isn't included in bow perk sets? Maybe chain reaction? I don't know. In endgame holding the shot doesn't work, bows are already kinda of slow for add clear... Wishender hangs, but it's still not the best... TG sucks for single target. Stream of Arrows maybe, where precision hits charge a multi-shot with tracking. They're cheesy in PvP, and they suck in PvE.

As a Oathkeepers enjoyer, they are already extremely good. Current status grants a ok buff in pve for damages and are very good in pvp.
