As the title suggests, the future of the Destiny franchise is looking grim. Here are some ideas to make the game better, (hopefully).
Topic 1: Stop over nerfing Titans.
Titans have been incredibly laser focused due to nerf culture. Barricades are supposed to be just that, barricades, not paper. Increase the health back to a reasonable amount that is a happy medium for everyone. Give Ward of Dawn it's headshot immunity back. There's no reason for this nerf and basically makes Armor of Light a useless buff. Reduce the cooldown of Towering Barricade to 60 seconds (currently 1:10 with max resilience).
Topic 2: Weapon balancing.
Weapon balancing is a MASSIVE part right now in both PvE and PvP. Both sandboxes are decently separated, however there are a few weapons that have been left behind because of sandbox changes or just haven't had their stats changed since. These weapons include Mida Multi Tool, Suros Regime and D.A.R.C.I.
Topic 3: Changes to the seasonal model.
I'm pretty sure everyone can agree that the current seasonal model is pretty boring right now and leads to drip fed content on a weekly basis. We want more! We WANT to explore a story and play the game! We don't want to login to Destiny week by week just to engage into a "story" mission that leaves much unanswered like, "who is this character? And what role do they play in the Destiny universe?" Or "okay, what next?"
Topic 4: Armor sets.
I'm going to be upfront when I say that I want some of our old armor back. A lot of armor sets we had in both Destiny 1 and some parts of Destiny 2 looked AMAZING. For example, the old Vanguard armor sets when The Taken King first released, looked great and felt on par with the class identity. Now, our armor is not so great looking and has a bit of an identity problem. Some armor pieces don't mix well with a certain class and look off.
Topic 5: Reprised or returning Raids
I know that this may or may not be a technical process. But I personally really miss our old raids. Wrath of the Machine is one of those raids. Wrath was AMAZING hands down. The music was great and really felt like you were actually doing something relevant to the story. The armor and later, ornaments introduced when Age of Triumph was released, looked fantastic and fit the design of the raid incredibly well. Scourge of the Past, is also a really good raid and should be brought back along with Wrath of the Machine.

Edited by Motorhead England: 1/19/2024 12:31:37 AMI don't know how many players are aware, but the final shape will be the 10th year of a ten year project. If Destiny was your house, would anyone really spend serious money on repairs or cosmetics knowing that it would be demolished or abandoned and left to decay after 12 months? We are all supposed to be excited about a shiny new complex where we can all spend loads more money and thousands of hours for another decade. Don't forget, it's not compulsary.
