It's the end of the saga.....it's gonna be almost everyone lol. * That could be an awesome reboot somehow if we end up in a new system

If it occurs within the Pale Heart, we can't be certain. It's a realm shaped by conciousness but clearly, these changes aren't set in stone because despite the Witness being in there first for a year, we'll be stepping inside and changing parts of areas the Witness should be absolute in, given that it's billions of souls and minds with a singular goal and focus. This means that if we win, it's because we perceived the right conditions for our victory to occur...but can't this be said of the Witness? So whoever dies in the Paleheart does so because our Guardian acknowledged all the conditions and changes that led to it. Everyone who enters is simultaneously dead and alive according to themselves and/or to someone else...or something like that. Sorry my brain is melting atm.

Maras' not on the list?...

Bungie shall die, it is inevitable.

Edited by Shockwave 989: 1/24/2024 8:13:37 AMIt’s actually really funny to see the Vanguard in the initial marketing so heavily when their major story beats have all been DCVed away, Expansion and Season wise. While we don’t see anything about the characters who’ve arguably contributed more to this fight. Eris Morn Osiris Mara Sov Elsie Bray These four have been focused on the bigger picture for years, working behind the scene to bring us to this moment. Then you have characters with more recent involvement who have more of an in-universe importance. Drifter Empress Caiatl Mithrax Crow One whose allowed us to see better than anyone that Darkness is a tool we can use, one who set her people’s wellbeing above war and the one who might finally see the Kell of Kells Prophecy fulfilled by becoming the first Eliksni Guardian. Also Crow, a Guardian who may, like us, finally be seeing why he was resurrected. Glad to see our Ghost and the reason why we were resurrected is featured so heavily though. Revealing that the Godslayer has been the Traveler’s last gambit to stop the Witness is a good way to round off our role in this story and actually place the focus onto us. Even if we’re only part of a larger offensive.

Edited by Ferus Lux: 1/23/2024 2:27:33 AMZavala and Ikora. Saint-14 and Osiris will step up and Crow will become Hunter Vanguard and then we have human, Exo, and Awoken trinity again. The description of the expansion saying "rally the vanguard" sounds sus to me. Like it's gonna take a L initially and we'll need a new one. Ofc, that likely means just reuniting Zavala and Ikora with Cayde but killing off Ikora and Zavala would be a bolder choice.

1 ReplyYou, or “The Guardian” It is…Destiny

Has to be the traveler cause by it going down the true gardener will get awaken where as we have all speculated if it’s a women she will arise and make her final stand with us as the witness enacts the final shape destroying both of them ensuring no one has light or dark in the universe and our punishment is the everlasting effects of the witness doing this and the surrounding systems being forever damaged. We will then my guess is it engage xivu and end the hive blood line once and for all

Crow!🤞

It'll be a fourth wall break. Everyone realizing they died in 1999, again in 2012, again yesterday. It's all the games fault.

2 RepliesI genuinely think it'll be zavala, I don't want it to happen but since lance Reddick past 😢 i think it'll be zavala.

7 RepliesIkora is such a boring character would prefer her if I can pick one.

2 RepliesI strongly believe that my interest in D2 will be killed off once TFS is done. I want to see how this saga, that I have mostly enjoyed over the last 10 years, concludes. Last couple of years the seasonal burnout has been real and unless there is something much bigger than episodes planned for the future, then I think it’s time to let go.

2 RepliesI hope Cayde dies a second time.
