No one's gonna shell out $40 for lightfall after all the bad press you guys have had recently, and $20 for two dungeons is just robbery. Lightfall should be $25 tops, older campaigns discounted to $15, and for the love of god why are you selling cosmetic bundles at higher prices than entire dungeons make that -blam!- $5 you guys are nuts. Whoever's coming up with these prices oughta be kicked in the head

With every expansion, Bungie expect a massive influx of new players but D2 has the worst new player experience in all of gaming.
-
It’s actually so annoying, Had like 4 of my friends who never play download it and they had fun. They did strikes, gambit, and even helped them through VoG. When it came about them asking the price of the actual game I just told them “sooooo what game do we try now” lmao

1 ReplyDestiny 2 is a demo pretending to be free to play

Guardian, Archon Of LightArchon Priest Of House Light - old
If content is over a year old , it should come with the latest expansion And I have bought every season and pre-ordered the deluxe edition of every expansion, but I consumed that content when it was relevant, and the cost of entry is a giant wall to potential new players I mean looking at it like if it was a new game I was trying out , if I discovered I had to pay $100 for old DLC just to be caught up , I wouldn't bother -
1 ReplyRemove free-to-play to get rid of the cheaters in PvP/Trials.
-
2 RepliesLmao this is why I myself as well as so many others (-45% revenue) left and never came back. Meanwhile the only ones defending this garbage are the complete moron who cant find one genuinely justification for bungies obscene prices. Yet warframe doesnt do the same whatsoever, whilst being completely 100% free outside cosmetics. And even then, premium currency can be earned IN GAME. Something bungie would obviously never do, because letting players earn silver would be heresy to them lol.
only lemmings still defend bungie and destiny
1 ReplyWhen you have a highly successful game, you can decide the prices.
-
“Yall paid 400-500 over the years for this game but yall i just wanna tell yall that i want it (y)all for 20 bucks fr fr”
-
1 ReplyBungie should have removed free-to-play and then cap the power level to 1810. Such a shame free to play allows cheaters to roam in trials. Just go ask Gernader Jake how he feels about cheaters today in Trials 1/15/2024. He had to back out during a Trials' carry.

They won't they have even said as much. They won't make old content free because people still pay for it.
-
8 Replies$40 + $60 = A crap ton of hours of content for just $100. Easily 10 hours per $1. That's everything in the game except season passes.
-
Bruh, Bungie is down 45% revenue. I'm honestly surprised they haven't skyrocketed more stuff. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if that mid-season update got reverted to a paid dlc at this point.
-
1 ReplyEdited by Synge_X: 1/16/2024 1:01:43 PMWe really need cross platform purchases of content, like so many other games, where you don’t have to re-purchase the same content on a different platform. Accessibility would be nice and potentially encourage people to log in and play. It’s just a silly, greedy, needless sticking point.

5 RepliesI’m new to Destiny can someone please explain to me what my $150 just bought me? I got lightfall and 4 seasons
-
Totally ! But a lot of people just don’t want to try and unravel every in game ….it’s bloated !
-
1 ReplyIf people keep paying the prices for cosmetics they won’t change! I still play, but since I switched to pc and lost all DLC’s I won’t buy again. I understand that different networks need their money, for their platform, but Bungie should have made the decision when they went free to play/cross-save, that they don’t need the extra sale, and honored a account based platform fee to pay the overlords for their platform usage. ie game costs $60-$100USD Bungie gets 90% platform gets 10%. Rough numbers I don’t know actual fees involved. But they should have allowed players to access their paid content and just pay the fee for platform.
-
4 RepliesI like how eso does it. When buy the newest expansion, all the previous ones are included. So around $40 for everything.
-
1 ReplyWhat new players?
-
15 RepliesThe game should be completely free at this point. Long-time players are leaving because Bungie got greedy and do nothing to fix issues.
-
3 RepliesSo let me get this straight. Are you asking Bungie not to be greedy scumbags? Are you new to Destiny 2?
-
2 RepliesWhile yes, the amount of stuff you gotta buy is way too expensive, all the previous dlc’s go on sale quite frequently. Sometimes they’re completely free
-
1 ReplyI’m a firm believer that if you weren’t here at the start of d1 or at the latest start of forsaken you shouldn’t pick up this game. It’s too many moving parts for a new player and they will never understand the story if that’s what they like. Waste of money and time for them
-
2 RepliesEdited by Infamous067: 1/15/2024 4:05:04 PMI agree that older content should be heavily discounted. I would buy it for my kid since she started playing, I Just cant bring myself to pay again for content I already own in my main account. My kid is gonna have to stay free to play for now until hopefully something gets discounted properly
-
3 RepliesBungie used to love their gamers, and were in it for the love of gaming. Now we're just cash cows funding corporate greed. But trouble with this is the group of people who bungie are relying on to buy future games
-
one of the reasons i left the game to be honest 👌 i didnt mind paying for good content but they got so lazy at making good content it was unreal destiny 1 will always be my favorite 👌

Games gonna be dead after FS who cares
