To give each playlist a strong identity and condense the population down a little, I suggest having 5 playlists. Here are my choices:
Checkmate 3v3 / 6v6
Elimination/Trials 3v3
Clash/Iron Banner 6v6
Party 6v6 / 3v3
Solo

Elimination and Clash, two of the most popular modes, are always available, which allows the others to offer variety and occasionally try out unusual modes.
Checkmate and Party rotate game modes weekly. They alternate 3v3 and 6v6 so there are always two 3v3 playlists and two 6v6 playlists to choose from.
Checkmate focusses on competitive gunplay and replaces Comp. It’s CBMM and gives every player an Elo type rating for this playlist, which is visible to all other players and replaces the current messy and obscure system.
Party focusses on carefree space magic. Making everything in this playlist Mayhem would probably be overkill, but more abilities/supers/special/heavy should be expected.
Solo could potentially be more than just Rumble.

EDIT: I should have made it clearer I meant 5 playlists to suit a range of players, not just your personal favourites.

3 Replies-Clash/Control 6v6 CBMM (Quickplay, always available, even during events and IB) -Party modes 6v6 CBMM (Mayhem, Rift, Dad Con, etc)/Iron Banner replaces this. IB is essentially party crap ATP anyways. -Comp (as is, but hopefully with a points distribtuion rework) RANK-BMM, as it should have been from the start. -Elim 3v3 SBMM/Trials replaces this. -Freelance/Solo (Rumble, fine with potentially other modes done as freelance) -Tacking on Labs as a sixth option. I cheated.

9 RepliesEdited by A_mo: 1/12/2024 3:00:35 PMIt would basically look like what it does now. Minus quickplay and checkmate (6v6, 3v3) would replace elim/showdown and labs would go too. When trials was on it would replace comp (of course that would probably be checkmate) and when IB was on it would replace control. Control could possibly rotate with clash. Comp or control would be cbmm and the other would be the opposite and they could possibly even rotate that between themselves. Checkmate, Comp, Rumble, Control. 5 playlists is still too many to "suit a range of players" with this population level. It doesn't suit anyone to have too many playlists and the playlists can then expand based on who's playing what and what they want. Otherwise, there still needs to be deep cuts.

3 RepliesEdited by NotCreative123: 1/11/2024 10:25:14 PMI like your list! Here's mine SBMM Modes: 6v6 - Control / Clash / Zone Control, Iron Banner, Supremacy CBMM Modes: 3v3 - Elimination, Domination, Countdown, Trials 6v6 Party - Mayhem, Relic, Sparrow Racing Rank-Based MM / SBMM: 3v3 Competitive - Survival, Rift (but fix spawns and other issues), Showdown I would drop Checkmate and combine parts of it with regular PVP. It wouldn't be as strict as Checkmate or as loose as regular is now. So: Less ability energy, regular TTK values, and earn special I would drop Rumble. It is the odd mode out. All modes would use FBMM The modes don't rotate weekly. You can get any mode at any time. I might not use the Lobby Balancing formula at all. I honestly don't know if it hurts or helps more or how accurate you can really be with so many variables.
