There isn't any right now, there are games out there that should never be taking place. So, Bungie, if you think you have it on, would you check? Because it can't be on. Unless your goal isn't good games but win trading, which would be asinine and will drive people away. I'd rather lose 3 close games then get stomped 3 games then win one gifted game.
This game? I played really well, but it didn't matter. 92% chance of the other team winning...and guess what? They did.

and I ain't sticking around in those games any more, case in point:
https://destinytracker.com/destiny-2/profile/psn/Terrible_Fox/overview?mode=crucible
or this one that caused me to call it a night. How can all solo players be this lopsided?
https://destinytracker.com/destiny-2/pgcr/14312466836
It's stupid, how can this be happening?

Bungie doesn’t know how to do that. They also don’t know the meaning of health and balance.
-
7 RepliesBecause when good players have to play people of their same skill level all the time, they cry enough tears to flood the world, and no one alive today wants to build the Ark 2.0 and repopulate the earth with their brothers and sisters. Eww.
-
2 RepliesSmaller player base , hardly anyone left on pvp team and Bungie just don’t care !
-
Edited by JazzyPaladin477: 1/12/2024 11:24:24 AMIt’s because they have loosened sbmm to the point where it has basically been turned off. (This is blatantly obvious with kd’s ranging from 16 to 0.2 in pretty much every game with top players dropping more then 30 kills) Bungie have stated many times that if the internal skill rating band is above 500 then their algorithm can’t balance teams. It just can’t. I don’t know why this is a shock to anyone.
-
Best advice. Stop playing pvp during this expansion.
-
2 RepliesIt's almost like the matchmaking algorithm is placing all the better players on 1 team.
-
The unenlightened masses…they cannot make the judgement call.
-
1 ReplyPlayer numbers are low, so the matchmaking will make compromises for the sake of queue times.
-
1 ReplyEvery time there’s 2 three stacks in the lobby they’re almost always put on the same team. I’d say more often than not they’re on the same team. And that shouldn’t happen if there’s 6 solos. One stack needs to face the other stack unless there’s 2 more 3 stacks or a 4 stack and up in the lobby. Hell if there’s a bunch of two stacks that’s ok too but all the solo players shouldn’t be put on the same team. There should be an algorithm that does good stack placement depending on the people in the lobby.
-
2 RepliesJust stop asking for lobby balancing. It doesn't work in any game, and it exponentially increases lag due to cross play in this game. It's a stupid concept created by stupid people who's main goal is merely to avoid sbmm because they can't stand a lobby of equally skilled players.

I've seen the same sort of thing over the years when looking back through games on destiny stat tracker. (I think I may have once complained about something around 17 out of 20 games in which my team was expected to lose, with that prediction being broken only twice out of those twenty games) Many answering in this thread are saying the same thing 'overall player population is the issue'. I think that's completely wrong as the examples being produced clearly show 6 v 6 it's the distribution of those 12 players between the two teams that's being called into question...
-
1 ReplyListen, the majority of people want quality matches without lag where they are capable of playing with friends of all skill levels. If you want to play solo, choose the matchmaking system which clearly reflects sbmm. Not to mention when you look at the numbers in this game which actively play; this game does not support splitting player bases and putting restrictions on them. There is approximately 70K active players. What you want will effectively end all PvP based play in crucible.

1 ReplyTilted lobbies aren’t a bug. Just pay your eververse tax and you’ll get good lobbies and hit registration.

I feel your pain I'm not a bad player bit neither am I good enough to carry teams I seem too loose most of my games and more often than not I'm the top player in my team not always though and I'm getting fed up with being stomped on all the time it's affecting my kd I've had it up to 1.5 but now it's down too a rubbish 1.12, everytime I seem to be getting somewhere it's like bungie say let's give him rubbish teams now he's has a few good games
-
Don't take destinytracker seriously, it's a sack of -blam!- and 60% of the stats don't mean anything. KD, KDA, Win Rate and things that can actually be measured with performance mean something, ELO and the rest of the garbage don't. You know it's garbage when you carry the team and lose and you lose the same amount of ELO as the bottom fragger in 1-15.

Edited by I am kevin: 1/11/2024 9:56:12 AMLobby balance does exist it’s only after a few things, sbmm (sometimes loos),playlist population/fire team mm, regional selection, win rate, then lobby ballance. So it’s about 4 in the row te be selected if one of the previous fails all fail. And don’t forget that you have ppl leaving and joining during your games, these players add up to the total ELO combined that’s why the % seem way off
-
5 RepliesBecause even if you’re the tiniest sliver of good at the game and playing solo, bungie expects you to carry other potatoes while the enemy team gets the good players. Sucks, happens to me everyday, and it’s annoying as hell.
-
2 RepliesI’d prefer a strictly solo queue. Having a lot of games where duos/triples run around team shooting everybody.
-
Just a lagfest at this point needs sunsetting lol
-
18 RepliesDT's % chances of winning are based on gobbledy guk. It's a poor basis for an argument and this game would be infinitely better off if that site just vanished. Lobby balacning exists but when your player count is in the shtter, it's hard for it to work as intended due the widening of the skill bands so you don't sit in orbit for half an hour to get a match.
-
There might be it’s just the player numbers are so low the algorithm doesn’t work properly
-
Edited by Godfrey: 1/10/2024 1:33:44 PM92% of chance to lose jajaja very fair match. . Welcome to destiny

1 ReplySo you trust a third partie website’s prediction based of elo whether you win or lose
-
36k kills puts you in the top 1.5% for kills... Certain people must appear to be completely nuts to some of you. With the last two you quit out of Javelin and that's why the last one ended up like it did. It happens to all of us and its generally how PvP games work. The game will sometimes save the payback until slightly later but it usually gets its paybacks. Other than that with skill matching it looks about like what it would look like if you were playing solo. Judging from the fact that you've played Prime and Breakthrough you can tell you've been playing PvP since it came out so its hard to say whether or not you would do better without the "assistance" or not. Its really hard to say that about anyone that's been playing since the game came out.

Simple reason no one is playing pvp they hate it it’s full of sweat Lords, cheaters, and people that play in other people account to boost them. Your matches are like that and will get worse and worse until only the tryhards are left. D2 PvP is no longer casual.
