Allow masterworks on weapons to be changed
Reenable sunset weapons
Stop nerfing everything PVE related to the ground
Just let the player base have fun
It’s a video game

1 ReplyRemember when "play how you want to play" was the motto of the game back in D1
-
Edited by AmethystRhino: 1/11/2024 5:53:10 AMNever going to happen in D2 that was by design in original Destiny. Here everything you like to play is on a rotation meanwhile you have to play other activities you don’t care for using weapons subclasses or loadouts you don’t like as much either. Absolutely devoid of the true spirit of a mmo in which the player has all the choices to make. There’s a place where people go where they have few choices and decisions are made for them, it’s called prison.

Talking about nerfing thing, I think we are way past that with titans. Stasis is dead, arc is meh as a whole, void is titans weakest class because throwing shield has never been mega powerful and bubble has been nerf more times then I don't know what. Every exotic bar 1 has seen heavy nerfs. Its a solar season so what's the first thing bungie does? Nerfs titan hotspots and restoration some more. There's only 1 reason I still titan main and that is because I've played it so long I'm used to how it moves
-
1 ReplyNah, that means they get less money. They'd rather cling to their stupid ideas of fake activism and prideful ignorance than do what's right, which is listening to the player base. Either sit back and ride the boat over the edge or jump ship. Bungie stopped caring a long time ago. I only came back because my friends still play and playing with them is fun, nit because the game is good. Seems bungie doesn't understand that the only reason most people still play is because of the time they've invested, not because of the game.
Reenable sunset weapons
A lot of people would call this power creep, but it really isn’t when perks that used to be exclusive to pinnacle weapons are now seen in common world drops. On top of that, they’re nerfed; nowhere near as game-breaking as they used to be.
-
Probably due to enemies being 1 dimensional it’s not gonna happen yet
-
2 RepliesI've wanted this for a few years now. Play the way we want to. Instead of being forced to use certain weapons e.g. sidearm = barrier. Any primary = barrier, any secondary = overload and any heavy = unstoppable. I can then have fun and use different load outs and use weapons that I have in my vault that have been gathering dust for years.
-
You forgot “you must use these weapons as we stuck champions on this activity”.
-
Sorry but it's always been Bungies way or no way. I fully agree with you and there is a million minor things they could have done to support players and give a sense of players been in control of their destiny. The game is stale at the moment and the lack of the fun element is one of the reasons the game is in the doldrums now.

Edited by Ogma: Destroyer of Worlds: 1/9/2024 5:08:34 PMThey go through phases where they really go in on trying to make us play the way they want us to play, and it never goes well. Case in point: the current state of the game.
-
"RoflNope." - BungLe. Probably.
-
Bungholes motto is play the game the way you want to, but do it our way.
-
Completely agree with this. I made a whole post a while back saying for Bungie to stop nerfing PvE because of crap in PvP. Unfortunately, they aren't going to fix jack because as the higher ups put it (I know they said this about themselves taking pay cuts instead of doing layoffs, but this is basically how the game has been), "They aren't that kind of company."
-
1 ReplyThats why The Crafting saw a huge bump in players.
-
Bungie: So nerf Telesto?
-
Bungie's response: "But difficult = fun, therefore the more difficult the game is, the more players will like it"
-
Bungie: Alright so we know we've lost a lot of goodwill with the community lately, and player morale is pretty low so.... we are nerfing it all into the dirt.
-
3 RepliesThis is silly. It is their IP, and they can run it how they would like to. Let’s say they do decide to bow down and let people ‘play the way they want’. For every person pushing for something, there is another person pushing against it. Perfect example is PvP. I would love to see fewer abilities, with a heavy emphasis on accurate gunplay and movement. I would kill for a 2v2 playlist and wish standard quick play was 4v4. But many do not want these things. So, who should Bungie listen to?
-
1 ReplyAgree with everything but sunset weapons. Now that it's done, it's done. Wouldn't be fair to some players
-
Just let the player base have fun
I’m sure my idea of fun is different from your idea of fun.
-
Also they should bring back the out of bounds glitches on the PvP maps.
-
I want to mess with people and sword swipe them off the cliff. Let me play like that bungie !
-
12 RepliesComp allows you to play with legacy gear. So does normal leveled playlists. And build crafting has never been more accessible and broad.
-
Why stop there? We should be able to fly. Wear exotic armor in all slots. Exotic weapons in all slots. We should be able to one shot everything. That's how I would like to play. Just let me have fun. It's a video game.
-
We should all play how I play. It is objectively the best way.

Edited by Hawpy: 1/9/2024 1:08:25 PMI still don't really get this kind of complaint. There is no single way to play the game, activities with Champions and locked loadouts don't force every player into using one build. The changes to keywords in Lightfall made it so much easier to use an appropriate build without shoehorning weapons you don't like into it. A lot of people will bring up Barrier Champions this season because Sidearm is the only mod. The Rocket Sidearms are really good and will one-tap a shield on GM, but even without that, you can get around it with Wish-Ender, Arbalest, Revision Zero, Eriana's Vow, Second Chance any Solar weapon this season and any build that can make use of Radiant, Unraveling Rounds or Volatile Rounds. Any weapons that benefit from a Champion mod, match the Overcharge or have the element matching the Surge receive the 25% bonus damage. There is less limitation than there has ever been. Players that only like one build, which happens to not tick any of these boxes in a given season, only have themselves to blame. Also, "unsunset weapons" is almost always slang for "let me use Mountaintop and Recluse again", and we should never go back to that.
