Seriously they are the worst in the moon heist, they group up and disappear with invincibility and they are often 4 of them at a time in this strike. They one shot in a well and no matter how many void resist, sniper resist or resilience they are just too strong or too many for that middle part of the strike.

Have you ever played Halo 2 on legendary? I get jackal vibes from these scorn.
-
It's a GM. Throw on your resists and play smart.
-
If you don't get one-shot in a GM then it feels like a public event . I have seen 100 resil titans with all the resist mods you wish for die in a patrol zone 🤣🤣🤣 If you are getting hit in a GM then you are doing something wrong .

3 RepliesEdited by Erafracture: 1/4/2024 8:04:57 PMI’ve got to disagree with you. It’s a grandmaster for a reason. Everything can kill you. Heck, I’m more scared of the fire grenades than the crossbows. It’s just something you have to work around. That’s why GM’s are challenging, and why the more you complete them, the easier they get. YES. They get easier. All the time. Except LOS. That meatball is never getting easier. So stupid, putting a meatball as a boss.

Its actually fine. They have a long wind up animation before shooting so you can easily take cover before they hit you and with 1 damage resist buff you can easily tank a few shots. It is also void threat so enemies are dealing 25% more damage with void on top of the extra damage they are dealing to you already. But with the right resists I believe only the final boss can actually one shot you with his sniper, but if you are far enough away the boss usually doesn't land all 3 bolts. Also, again long wind up animation which you can use to your advantage by popping in and out of cover causing him to keep recharging his shot. I think they could however reduce their damage a bit but increase their accuracy as its kind of strange how inconsistent they are at dealing damage either they tickle you or hit quite hard.

I got one shotted while in a legend nf while in super with restoration, 100 resilience, sniper resist, 2x void resist lol

AGREED!!!

2 RepliesI got one shot in a well during a GM. 100 res and double void mods

3 RepliesEdited by Xx RogueMerc xX: 1/4/2024 3:06:00 AMBoss in the GM one shot me across the map with full health/max resilience and double void resist. Scorn crossbows have always been OP even after they claimed they nerfed them. They used to be even more ridiculous in the Hollowed Lair GM.
-
In a gm they do hit hard, but they also seem a touch over tuned elsewhere as well. Gotta prioritise those target my man.
-
I got 1 shot in a well, with sniper resist and void resist....I thinks that it is a damage glitch going on.
-
1 shot darn , it's the battlegrounds as a gm is bad anyway
-
Yeah, Scorn raiders are by far the most annoying enemy in the game. They constantly glitch out, either instantly firing without even charging their weapon, or dealing 3x their intended damage as if they’re using D1 Hawkmoon. And the fact they can’t be killed when they randomly choose to go invisible is just as dumb as how they can charge up their shot while still immune. Literally the jackal snipers of Destiny.

4 RepliesYou will still need to utilize cover in increased difficulty content, at full health and max resilience a single void crossbow will not one-shot but will get you very low for anything else to kill you. Now two of them will easily kill if they shoot at the same time but the trick is to only expose yourself to one at a time while you kill them. Much like Psion and Vandal snipers they do have to charge their shots so it is usually safe to peek a corner. Scorn are probably the worst to fight as you have to wait for them to re-materialize and patience is hard to come by when you are getting shot at from everywhere. Invisibility or blinding can help you move to safer cover if you need to. Hope this helps!
