Just like to solo and play the low power end game content - not good enough for raids or dungeons, fine with that - I know the mission was easy got some - good for you.
Only get a few hours in the weekend to play and just wasted all of it on one mission I could not finish and now will have to start all over again if I decide to continue playing Destiny. Do not have time for watching game videos and studying different builds.
Making it part of the Seasonal quest line was a mistake. Basically I am now done with the game till the Final Shape...if I even still care enough to install it again in 6 months.
See why the game is going under....need casual gamers to pay the bills.

2 RepliesStarcrossed is too hard for noob/trash gamers. Let's not drag casuals through the mud guys. This is objectively one of the easiest missions. But if you are struggling, get over yourself for 10 minutes and play this multiplayer game with others.

Edited by Insatiable: 1/3/2024 1:02:17 PMYes you need the casual gamer who has the mental fortitude of a 2 year old to keep the game alive. I'm sure they are losing so much when people like you leave because you can't solo content and there are clear avenues to play with a group. You also can't be bothered to spend 2-3 mins to look up a build ? Yeah that's a skill issue especially when you somehow decide to run double primaries and gimp yourself. That's a you problem. You honestly don't even need a video to realize you are most optimal in pve with one weapon of each ammo type. The reality is that you don't want to think at all when you play this game. That's what this post tells us.

1 ReplyIf Starcrossed was too hard, then yeah, this is definitely not the game for you. Beyond easy mission. If it takes you hours and you can't beat it, it only speaks volumes of you, not the game. Sorry.

I often struggle to complete harder content. However, I was able to finish Starcrossed on Normal, and solo. If you’re looking for help and or build ideas or strategies, feel free to DM me. I’m glad to help if possible.

If you can get to the boss, simply use Wishender. You never have to enter the boss arena. At 8 seconds, sprint back to the buff behind you. It takes awhile but it works if the boss room is overwhelming.
-
Have no idea why doesn’t just put a easier option in the mission . So many different people play this game now ….Bungie needs to keep as many players as possible so why not a easier option .

See why the game is going under....need casual gamers to pay the bills.
Correct. Its not bad until the actual boss room, then its just instantly down the sh*tter. I tried solo last week, and I literally couldn't get out of the doorway after the first death. I'd revive and instantly be killed, with 100 resilience. It happened so fast every time, I couldn't use abilities or even shoot, and the enemies literally never stopped firing on that spawn doorway. I tried with a friend and that worked out. If you can find a friend to join, give that a shot. Two people seems to be a sweet spot with Destiny. Casual players make up the majority of any playerbase, so that is the group that needs the most attention and consideration in all design decisions.

Honestly try fireteam finder its so much easier with two people or three
-
I agree...good thing team finder work on it or that would be yet another exotic I'd be missing

6 Repliesfor bad players, can we stop this meta of calling casual players bad players?

Jet Set WillyIt’s all going concording to plan 😂🤣 - old
Yep. Vexcalibur mission was too difficult for me as well. I’ve accepted that there are numerous things I won’t get. -
2 RepliesYes that exotic mission needs removing from the story progression
-
It really isn't that bad. I went in blind on normal with a fireteam, they were helpful. I couldn't make the jumping puzzle. Ran on Legend with another LFG, they were helpful, I actually made the jumping part. Just need to spend a little time to get a decent build, there are helpful people on here, if you ask for it, and are willing to put in a little bit of time and research. It's usually a one time thing, I've been using the same builds after the start of a new season, just watch a video and copy the setups.

1 ReplyI've played for almost 2 years now and for me it's pretty easy, but I 100% understand and see how it is too hard for casual players, especially new guys. At least it's not absolutely idiotic like Avalon, so they are toning that sh down, but they need to do it further. The moment they "brought the challenge back", the game started dying and player numbers plummeted. Hard is fun for a tiny % of the playerbase, the huge majority doesn't find it fun at all. This is no elden ring or bloodborne, the majority of people DON'T play this game for the challenge.

2 RepliesSolod the regular version myself and it's definitely a slog until you figure out the mechanics. Even then, still quite a chore solo and definitely demands a decent loadout. Legendary version though...yeah you're probably going to want a fireteam for that
-
1 ReplyLook up plunderthabooty on YouTube. He makes quick easy to understand 10 min videos of good builds. Simply choose a build, copy it, save it to your loadout. Can make one for each subclass element and have potent builds with the press of a button. Abuse the artifact mods. Polaris Lance absolutely shreds pretty much everything this season. Use the lfg in the app or in game. You don’t need to use a mic. Not everyone is toxic and will help you through it/not quit if you don’t know what to do. It will take you 20 mins and the quest step is over and you get a new exotic.

7 RepliesEdited by Hawpy: 1/3/2024 3:13:05 PMYou're vastly overestimating how much work goes into improving a loadout. You tried on your Warlock, so we'll look at that. - Osteo Striga and Ammit are both very good weapons on their own, but there is no reason to use both of them. Equipping any special weapon makes a big difference; right now, Fusion Rifles and Wave-Frame GLs are the way to go in most situations - the perks you have crafted on Ammit and Palmyra are really, really bad. It takes 30 seconds to look up "Ammit/Palmyra best perks pve" and find out what's good, because believe me when I say that Gutshot Straight is not that - you have several mods that do little or nothing for you. Heavy Ammo Scout doesn't function if you don't also have Heavy Ammo Finder on and doesn't actually benefit a solo player in any way, this information is contained in its description. Stats only work in tiers of 10, so a +5 Discipline mod taking you from 92 to 97 is wasting both armour stats and space for other mods. You also have 3 different mods that consume Armor Charge instantly, these cannibalise each other because they activate on different criteria. These are not complicated things to expect people to understand, it's 2-3 Google searches and a bit of common sense. I haven't criticised your choice of weapons, as they're perfectly fine items for someone who doesn't do endgame stuff, and I fully respect that The Stag can be a very helpful Exotic for staying alive. These are simple changes that yield a huge return, without min-maxing all of your stat points, reconfiguring your whole subclass or telling you to go grind some activity for a particular item.

I think it was a bad idea to require an exotic mission for the seasonal story.
-
You have time to post on the forum, or struggle in a dungeon, but don't have time to watch a video or lfg for a fireteam? The exotic quests and dungeons are easy content. And I'm in the bottom 4% of Destiny players. Seriously, are you that lazy?

If you can't use a weapon that use a special ammo of course you're going to fail and have a hard time that's on you you chump

But your issue is your loadout and from what i saw general lack of anything that can really kill/or deal damage

I'm casual and still managed to do it even tried legend and got all the way to the final boss, so nut up or shut up
