Should the "2" in Destiny 2 be scrapped?
I have a suggestion for the health of the game. You all have been working on a ten year story, why not have all 10 years in a single game! Remake Destiny 1 with the ability to mantle, dodge, create rifts and barricades, followed by adding in everything from Destiny 2 (including sunset content such as the Red War Campaign, Curse of Osiris Expansion, Warmind Expansion, the Forsaken Expansion with lines re-recorded by Nathan Fillion, Raids, Strikes, lost planets and locations available for exploration at all times)
Yes I know this game would be massive but it could be done especially if you drop your tiger engine and run it on Unreal Engine 5. This way your entire story could be told from start to finish without all the skipping around or recall missions. If you go this route you could drop the 2 from the game and still build on the game, treat it like a true MMO because most of them don't have a 2 in their name

1. No. Pointless at this point. 2. Impossible. They can't even keep all of D2 in one game, so having all of Destiny ever is just not going to happen. 3. "Remake Destiny 1" LMAO. 4. "Just drop Tiger and run it on UE5." LMAO Sure, we'll just rebuild both entire games on a new engine and all of the problems will go away and we can hold hands and sing kumbaya. I wanna know where they find these people.

Yeah, they tried putting some of D1 in D2, and look how messed up the game is screwing up whatever they brought over from D1. It's bad enough how they nerfed the -blam!- out of D1 and now they are doing the exact same thing to D2. They need to keep their grimy hands off of D1 because It's the only thing left that is somewhat decent about Destiny. It's like how 343 -blam!- up Halo, especially MCC changing the work the actual Bungie did.

I'll still call it Destiny 2. I still have love for the original. I have nothing but contempt for this disgrace of a sequel. I'd rather people not be confused when I praise one and point out the mountain of problems with the other. "Destiny had a great strike grind, but man, does Destiny not have many strikes."

They are better off just moving stuff from D1 to D2 and leaving behind the aspects that were boring. The truth is if D1 in its current state with everything in it launched VS D2 in its current state people are would enjoy D2 alot more

This is basically Destiny 1 at this point. All they’re really missing for big things are like Wrath of the machine raid, and a few zones like Venus and the reef.

5 RepliesThe game number thing is an eternal question. Should they drop it or should they go with 3 and have it last long like 1 and 2. Other than that a lot of what you're saying they should do sounds like a pretty ridiculous amount of effort and some of it doesn't make that much sense.
