Starcrossed phalanxes are a bit too durable
I don’t know whose idea it was to put this in the game, but I have never been more frustrated with a mission. The grindiness of the week before with having to do multiple coil runs did not help. So I finally get to the exotic quest, and I wonder why do all these phalanxes eat so many rounds? I feel like I’m trying to solo a raid boss here with how many rockets these phalanxes eat. They tanked both a nova [i]and[/i] a needlestorm.

1 ReplyI decided I wasn’t doing that mission on legend after doing it the first time in normal. The mission itself is easy, those phalanxes are just WAY too tanky for solo play. No real reason for them to be tanky anyway since their only mechanic is to be killed in the right order.

2 Repliesonly complaint is their shields block anit barrier options. As I recall last year bungie updated them so anti barrier rounds would penetrate their sheilds.

Personally, I hate that the shields are invulnerable. They should be destroyable.

Vorpal shotty does a pretty good job on them. But overall they are a bit of a pain, health wise.

If you have Malfeasance I highly recommend using that against them. Even if they block any shots with their shield, the blocked shots still count towards Malfeasance's perk and trigger the damage burst, which also staggers them for a moment.

8 RepliesThe health is an issue, it's their ability to use their shield every time you shoot or teleport after you shoot a rocket.

There's weapons to help with that. Plus it's not as bad as Avalon. 🤷

The phalanex enemies go down with 1 nova bomb.
