You do not get anywhere near enough dawning essence or gifts in return to forge dawning weapons.

yes you get, i played a very little the event and i focused AT LEAST 30 guns

Yep. I actually just have up for most of the event. Sad cause it's my favorite event. Guess it isn't anymore.

1 Replyequip the ship named HIERA HODOS Get the BOONS from Eva Use a boon at every strike, equip a dawning weapon. load up bounties from dawning Vanguard, gunsmith even XUR at eternity just load them up go do a few vanguard strikes 4 or 5 a few dares about 4 or 5 now again use a boon each strike and dare match. you will get tons once you get all those done cash them in then go to Eva get the last 5 bounties ( COOKIE orders) then stand there baking those 5 batches cash in get 5 more bake 5 more , dude in 10 minutes I have 20 gifts and a tons of the essensce and more, about 3 hours is all . you will not be sorry. baked about 5 each of the cookies before delivering and then cash in at Eva

We have no ingredient drops, essence drops, spirit drops, and gifts in return drops. Then the focus of a weapon is also RNG. That’s WAY too much. Too many layers. It’s not fun.

Way to many hoops to jump through while also having to jump through a bunch of others in other events in the game. I love how simple the Halloween mechanics are. The Christmas event should be the same. Instead they got us baking cookies.

Focusing costs too high. I still have 40+ gifts in return, but cant focus because of costs. The fact that these events dont unlock crafted weapons, is just a waste of time. Every year they reprise the rolls too, so some rolls are only obtainable one event. I have only saved one or two weapons from this event, none are better than my weapons from last year. I was trying to get a max range Frosty, but RNG just sucks. Thats the only thing that could improve from the rolls that I had before, since we have accurized rounds now. I wanted max range encore/KC roll... I spent all my material over the event focusing this one weapon for this roll. I got one max range roll, but the perk combo SUCKS.

1 ReplyI just ran lost sectors to farm a certain weapon. Found myself having 2000+ essence in the end. Plenty to focus that godroll.

For as limited of an event that it is. It should be raining gifts, spirit and essence. Just another trash event covered in cash rewards from Bungie as per usual. Meanwhile, the studio celebrates in pajamas while waiting to be axed after another 45% or more dip in profits.

While I do think more loot and guaranteed gifts (or at least 50% drop rate) would be better, there was plenty of drops to focus and get mementos. If you target farmed a LLS you got 20 essence per run, alongside materials. That's 20 essence every 3 minutes at worst with materials. Literally don't have to do anything else.

I think they should next year focus on quality over quantity as I wish it would drop less essence and ingredients but drop a guaranteed gift in return when you give cookies away. It sucks turning in 100 cookies only to get 8 gifts in return. Just my 2 cents.

Huh? You get plenty if you simply play the game and every once in a while bake a bunch of cookies for a vendor and hand them in.
