Who was the genius that thought this up. Solo does mean you are alone.
So please explain how you are to be near someone when you are SOLO ???
Thanks Bungie, as always on top of the situation.

6 RepliesJust straight up, The Coil isn't a primarily Solo activity and therefore isn't going to have its modifiers revolving around solo play as such, Though I see the point That's the same as complaining that raid mechanics don't accommodate for solo play. On that note, though I think the best course of action would be to adjust the modifier that it only applies when 2 or more people are in the fireteam

11 Repliesunrelenting, heal clip. solar restoration.

I ran the coil solo many times. Whilst I agree with the whole “solo activities shouldn’t have multiplayer modifiers,” there are weapon perks, exotic armor perks, subclasses perks, and class item mods that can provide healing. In my personal experience, hunters and titans have the most (play your way) options since they have exotic armors that can heal them instantly or continuously without any trade-off or cool down. That said, contraverse hold voidlocks specking into devour will probably even forget about the modifier being active. Anyway look at the positive side, when solo, and not using any of the above, it’s faster to just die than to wait in a corner for your health to come back (or a teammate staying put next to you for 15seconds.) Plus you have so many revives it’s not a problem. Whatever the modifier, I find this activity easier and the outcome most ascertained solo. Even if longer.

Bungie: People still play our game?! *goes back to other shooters to rip off more monetizing ideas*

1 ReplyAgreed 💯! This modifier just needs to be removed from the game. Been saying this for years.
-
1 ReplyIt’s been like that in Nightfalls for awhile but if you’re good enough to solo Nightfalls then your good enough to handle half health.
-
3 RepliesDriftig apart shouldnt be in the game at all. Worst modifier ever, especually since it doesnt work half the time

5 RepliesEdited by Lumis: 12/28/2023 1:35:19 AMThe further you get from Eververse the more damage you take.

Haha, classic Bungie.

16 RepliesSolar subclass is the play this season. Bring healing grenades and a weapon with heal clip.
-
11 RepliesMay be inconvenient, but if you have a gun with heal clip, that works pretty good.
-
4 RepliesUse the hand cannon version of red death I can’t remember the name of it

2 RepliesStreamers, the only audience Bungie cares about, wanted more cHaLlEnGe. Thats why. Thats also why dregs oneshot you in casual seasonal activities now. Streamers need to be occupied for 16 hours a day! And thats Bungies only concern. Fake postive content creators having their stream content.

1 ReplyEdited by Obi-Juan: 12/28/2023 4:36:43 PMSadly this is the one week of activity modifier rotation that solo players should skip unless they enjoy pain. One thing to note though, is that if solo players didn't have the togetherness modifier, wouldn't there be a huge increase in people doing The Coil solo? since not only would they not have to deal with togetherness, the activity would be easier for them since it has fireteam scaling. It's interesting because this could either be Bungie just plain not considering how annoying it is for solo, or it's intentional because then solo have a much easier time making 90% of people just run The Coil solo this week when the activity modifier's intent is to get people to stick together and teamplay. Hmm.
-
2 RepliesLook man, they are already working their butts off making ornaments, they don’t have time for players and their logic.
-
Heavens forbid you do activities designed for multiplayer with other players.
-
Yeah I plan on not doing coil during weeks with togetherness as a modifier. Soloing it is out of the question, and trying to run it with blueberries always seems to end up going poorly and becoming a waste of time. Maybe next week

14 RepliesOne of many reasons I lost faith in this company long ago. This season, along with the incredibley lazy missions (literally ctrl+C, ctrl+V from Forsaken), ability regen nerfs, annoying moddifiers like Drifting Apart and Pervading Darkness, then the insane increase to boss burn+slow/freeze AOE and timer, then the obnoxious add density and supplicants being reused from 2014 (D1 VoG). They've become a meme of themselves, always trolling us and making themselves look incompetent. I actually packed my console away this week, won't be playing until some big changes are made, and certainly won't be pre-ordering anything for the first time in 10 years. This is bad, considering I've purchased everything and pre-ordered everythig since the game was announced in 2013 I think, I was even invited to the Alpha test on the moon.

Yeah, it's just more lame attempts to get people to play in teams. The irony of that being that video games appeal the most to people who just want to wind down in their off time by themselves. Being in a fire team constantly really soured me on gaming and almost made me quit entirely. It did make me take months off at a time and the times I did play were not enjoyable. It wasn't anybody's fault, but I just want to be left alone 90% of the time and as far as I'm concerned socializing should occur in person. Getting on Destiny just to check off things on a checklist every week doesn't interest me. It's funny how Bungie convinces the unintelligent players that things are solo friendly because of "scaling", but then puts in modifiers that make the missions not solo friendly. Like the kid below spouting off about heal clip, etc. those things are all weak perks that have cool downs and are only useful while ad clearing. Majors and Elites make all that stuff meaningless. Then Bungie has the gall to wonder why numbers are down so much. The playerbase has been steadily declining since "Joe" decided to start gatekeeping, which is also ironic since he is extremely bad at the game. It was obvious while he was being destroyed by that overload that he has no clue about positioning to effectively use cover and can't make a build without looking it up on YouTube. Honestly, solo que in pvp and checkpoints in exotic missions is all it takes to make me happy. I suspect "Joe" just doesn't have friends in real life and game chat is probably the highlight of his life.

3 RepliesWas going to say something after trying to do solo. Yea totally agree why should I be penalized solo thats madness. Please fix bungie. Also no solo triumph for doing all four tiers. Need some recognition in my life that was hard work doing it solo.
-
Probably an attempt to push people into the fireteam finder. Endgame is friendgame 🙄
thought
I don't think there was any.

Agree as well.
