Starcross legend required for bow quest
Really Bungie? As if you have not heard enough this year that you set the difficulty too high.
Now you want us to to do the star cross mission on legend difficulty, normal is plenty hard enough for me.
Frankly you have learned nothing. Harder is not more FUN. If you think persisting with the increased difficulty is going to convince us to purchase the next expansion your wrong!

Wrong - legend allows you to get the catalyst for the bow. Normal run allows you to simply collect the bow. You can do it solo on both for a triumph. Use the new fireteam finder in Destiny to find some help if you’re struggling. I ran it once with my clan and once with an LFG team. You just need patience and good communication.

Use the new fireteam finder feature. I made a group and it went rather smoothly.

It's not required for the story this time. Also, don't most exotic mission catalysts require legend runs? I understand they're making the game unreasonably challenging lately. But it's significantly easier than Avalon. I don't see what's so unfair about it. Sometimes you have to challenge yourself or do activities you don't wanna fo to get things you want.

Use the fireteam finder. There's enough posts there that have the title, "chill, friendly and lots of time," join those, I've had high success with patience and chill players, that don't care if you die 1x or 100x. Most don't even require a mic, so I hope that helps you a bit to have hope to use the feature. With that being said. Most of these exotics they have been releasing have been "meh" or vaulted for most players. Some have mentioned this. If it doesn't replace what I like to use now, it's not worth my time.

It is far less difficult than the legendary version of previous exotic missions. I’m not trying to be rude, but maybe watching a video or two and or asking for help on the forums would solve your problem.

3 RepliesI got my gm done and my star crossed legend done and 3 boss dungeon checkpoints in one evening. Its really not that hard. I even had breaks wondering around my house. Sounds more a you.

1 ReplyJust did it with randoms and no mic. Easily top 5 hardest things I’ve ever done in Destiny. If it wasn’t for dying to two hits it would be far better.

Honestly, it's not that bad. Arc + Void for shields and cheese the boss at the end.

Hi - I can relate to the difficulty of Legend Im not good at this game for many reasons but enjoy playing it (and play it for many hours almost every day) I do skip most harder content such as Raids/GM/exotic missions etc. - and that's ok for me. I did do this one via LFG and bless the two players with me (who were very good players) for not kicking me (totally ok if they did kick me - just part of the game sometimes). There are many helpful LFG payers. And the run was fast. Never did make it through the jumping puzzle section - Joined fireteam - lol If you really want this Catalyst and the future ones - My suggestion is try LFG (not in-game Finder)- make sure it also states Catalyst (many just run Legend and do it quickly). Or even do your own posting on LFG asking for help with this mission, catalyst and chests. Some postings are no Mic - which sometimes is a good thing. I say NOT in-game Finder because it goes not allow for adding details i.e. catalyst/chests/ etc. Cheers P.S. IMHO, having played this game for many years/hours in some ways it has never changed: PVE is structured for team play that can be solo'ed sometimes and allot of times by some players.

4 RepliesThis is how crafted catalysts have worked for their entire existence. Watch a video, get a team, take a vacation, idk. It's not changing, nor should it. Please don't buy TFS. Might spare us the whining about legend campaign being too hard that is bound to come.

1 ReplyI'm not sure what you mean, I actually thought it was pretty easy compared to previous exotic missions. No timers, no infinite add spawn, only a 5 power level disparity on normal. I was able to pretty easily solo it on normal with my warlock, and I only died 4 times. 2 of which were that dumb jumping puzzle in the middle. I'm guessing you never played the vex glave mission from a few seasons ago. That was tough, and legend was on par with most GMs.

Easier than any of the previous exotic missions on legend If you can't beat this on legend, I can't imagine what kind of content you're playing that you even need the catalyst for 🙄
