You forgot a Patchnote
I am 100 % sure, drop rates on both got stealth nerfed.
Had a consistent memento out of 5-10 gifts MAX before (overall got 10 mementos to drop out of 80 gifts and thats representative data)
Now after the "patch" i turned in 25 gifts and no memento (no i am not dumb and still have one in my inventory)
Also turned in 30 cookies for only 3 gifts in return. (before it was one gift in return for 4 cookies turned in on average.
Great "event" where you keep wasting more and more of your players time. Garbage company.

They wasted the last patch slot this year fixing something a decent developer could have fixed in under an hour rather than ticking something off of the continuously growing list of things that are broken in Destiny 2. Good job Bungo - you're definitely listening.

Back to single use "shaders" that you also CAN'T -pull from collections? -stack more than one? -req extra absurd steps to be able to use? -CANNOT be used on armor nor weapons that are not crafted? That you need to do a lil quest/triumph just to get your initial free handmedown treat from bungie to entice you to grind every millisecond for a chance at another ? The WQ ones were a test, y'all showed bungie that we are happy with this and whoever came up with that concept is thinking "hey! They liked my idea i pitched to the team that has so many restrictions! Heck yeah lets do more". If this isn't bad as it is then hold on to your pants vecause soon they'll make you pay up money, for silver (that is not worth the same equivalent to $ AND is taxable for whatever reason) just to be able to buy more. Stop. It. This is why they're now selling good looking SHADERS with moving effects like lava, etc behind a paywall, a pretty absurdly pricy paywall. Do what i did, get your free one, get the event challenge shader and ship and dip out, play another game that won't disrespect your time investment.

It could just be a lucky streak. That happened in Festival of the Lost for me. Nothing for literal days, even after the drop fix, then it kicked on near the weekend. Just a thought of consideration, though I do not doubt you either. It is Bungie.

Cool. You just got lucky. I had to turn in about 50 before I got my first one. I love how you came to your conclusion. Because it’s happening to you, it must be happening to everyone else. Right? 🙄
