What a -blam!- -blam!- of an exotic mission.
Completely ruined by making the boss fight ridiculously -blam!- hard.
Bungie, you really are determined to leave no one playing this games but sweats.
-blam!- horrible experience.

Its not even so much that its hard, but that theres just so much splash damage and everything immediately knows where you are at all times. The ole' taken shield circle jerk doesnt help either. I dont mind hard content, but this boss room is just not very fun to play.

2 Radiant Nighthawk shots drop the boss on normal lol

11 RepliesEdited by Meevime: 12/20/2023 8:05:01 AMAs a solo player I'm disgusted too, it is over difficult. I've managed to get to the final battle, but I had to exit, because I have to sleep too... And now - no check points? I have to start from the beginning?? No, thanks!! I'm extremely tired of continuous Destiny 2 BS decisions. Moreover 13 seasons are enough for me. Farewell Destiny 2!!

The end boss was the easiest part lmao

6 RepliesTips: in the final room go to the right, there is a thick wall where pretty much nothing can damage you, take down the falanx and the boss have no shield, you can witherhorde the boss while you'll add-clear with a machine gun, continue doing untill the boss dies Safe and Simple

2 RepliesEdited by NerfPaladins06: 12/20/2023 8:08:27 PMHard? What..?! Only the phalanxes that shield the boss will follow you to the right side of the room. It's pretty safe over there, and there's another safe spot above the door in the entryway with the 2 pools. Put on Malfeasence (with caty), taken damage and solo operative artifacts. Toss in some kinetic surge if you want. Burn the phalanx then the rest of the fight is easy.

Guardian, Archon Of LightArchon Priest Of House Light - old
It's actually fairly short and simple , after I killed the boss I was expecting more Certainly not the gauntlet Avalon was -
Nice bait

How is it hard? There are two spots you can sit at where you cannot be hit by the boss. Sounds like a skill issue

7 RepliesThis is what's wrong with the community. We get something new, you immediately complain about it and offer zero constrictive criticism. Maybe you'd have had an easier time if you weren't using 120 Resilience, 18 Recovery and just a Melee Resistance mod, or used a Power weapon with a perk that doesn't rely on teammates when you're playing solo. I'm sure this will be called elitism, but these are basic things that a player should be expected to get right by now. God forbid having to put the tiniest amount of thought into the equipment you use.

2 RepliesMy only question for this mission, why did they attach it to the season progress? It could have been separate like the dungeon. No way do I want to attempt for the catalyst, just glad I have the bow.
-
2 RepliesIt's a trudge, those yellow bar taken phalanx are bullet sponges. Up until the final boss there are usually places you can back off to and recover so meh. But that tiny arena with splash damage at the end is something else. Take out a phalanx so you have somewhere to sorta hide, keep dipping into the buff and just trudge along. Not fun at all. It's my least favorite of the exotic missions that have their own unique area so far. Well it might be a close second to Vexcalibur.

9 Repliesmanaged to solo until the final boss room, dropped in and 3 seconds later i was dead, great job, had void and area effect mods on but nothing helped, tried 9 more times and i'm done, the seasonal story ends with this mission, upto the final encounter was ok tbh, but the final boss room is not fun at all. i dont want to be forced into a fireteam to do this, i'm a solo player, nice job bungie :(

2 RepliesEdited by A_mo: 12/20/2023 7:38:02 PMThey must have toned it down with the update because the boss just kind of stands there. Then teleports, like Vex bosses. I liked the mission, and it was good timing. Hopefully we get more good timing and the black garden looks really nice. Some of us haven't really experienced much Black Garden stuff. The legendary version seems like it might be doable solo without having to feel like you're sitting in traffic.

31 RepliesI’ll just add it to the list of things I don’t have and won’t get (like Gjallarhorn, Vexcalibur, Wicked Implement etc..).
-
1 ReplyDude you've died silly amount of times in every content you have played. It's a skill issue. Some games aren't for everyone. I suggest you stop playing and go to Minecraft
-
>puts all stats in resil "Why is it so hard" Maybe because being able to move fast, regen your shield and abilities/super is more important that resilience, didn't you get the memo? Bungie nerfed resil because people did what you do, theres no reason to go over 70% resil
Bungie, you really are determined to leave no one playing this games but sweats.
equip sunbreaker select the Sol Invictus aspect select the Roaring Flames aspect select the Throwing Hammer select the ember of empyrean fragment select the ember of solace fragment equip a solar primary weapon to extend restoration with ember of empyrean invincible for like 90% of the mission. not hard.

*clears throat* Git Gud. Solo’d it blind. Beyond some bullet sponge enemies, mission is great and not too hard. There are plenty of topics that you can complain about relating to the game. That mission isn’t one. It wasn’t lazy design (like the Wicked Implement one) and was fun. Most people just want things handed to them. Get over yourself.

I went with an off-meta build because I wanted to mess around with Stasis this season and got all the way to the boss without dying much, but I kept hyperfocusing to do damage and kept forgetting about the buff, so I ended up wiping several times due to my bad brain(and splash damage). Ended up swapping to my tried and true PvE Chaos Reach build and melted the boss fairly quickly. It's surprising the difference the build or the right weapon makes but I think that is the main issue with Destiny "difficulty" currently. They got rid of "match game" for similar reasons but then returned quickly with requiring you to run only the most broken of builds or you are handicapped significantly.

23 RepliesSounds like a skill issue. I had zero issues and I imagine the majority of the community won't have any issues. Mad cuz bad.
-
5 RepliesI hated it because I thought it was a story mission, when I got the bow I realized it was an exotic mission. As in Darkest Hour, or the Whisper of the Worm. Anyone remember those? If you could solo those, you were a great player. Not so anymore. You are freaking out over nothing, exotic missions are all soloable now, no timer. It is supposed to be very hard, and that’s barely how it is. Not super hard, just pretty hard. Get over yourself seriously, just do it again until you get it, or find a team.
-
4 RepliesSoloed it blind. Really not that hard, take cover on the right in the boss room. Boss isn’t even spongey one blade barrage took a quarter of his health off lol.
-
The mission is fine juste take your time you can do it
-
I just soloed it blind with my hands handcuffed to a post. You can do it too.

Best complaint is to stop playing. Do not use forums for rants. Speak with your wallet, the only thing that really matters. The game is not going back to what it was during WQ, obviously. Everything they do from now on is gonna be like this.
