The Strand Trace Rifle Incisor should not be only available through Trials.
This weapon is great...in PvE. In PvP, meh.
So why is Incisor only available in Trials? This should have been the pursuit weapon from the vendors this season.
I have 3 of them now and one has 82 range, 100 stability and 100 aim-assist. Each has a variety of good perks, good ammo reserves and such and pair really well with a Strand build.
It's bar none one of the best PvE weapons I have now, a green laser beam of death.
But you can only get it in Trials. Why? This is really obtuse of Bungie.
I don't mind playing Trials occasionally so I got mine but for a lot of players getting to level 10 with Saint 14 will be a slog.
Anyways, I'm just mystified by the decision making behind this.

To be fair most good pvp weapons have historically been obtained through pve.

Lol I’m no pvper u don’t need the adept one just go in play few matches u will get it. -blam!- there is lots of pvp weapons that only come from pve and they come to pve to get it. If u not willing to play few pvp matches for a gun then I guess u really didn’t want the gun

You want the loot play the content. I don’t play pve unless I see a weapon I want locked behind it. The truth is there are so many weapons in this game you can use. You don’t need any of the weapons behind trials to complete any of the content. You just want them.

Edited by A_mo: 12/21/2023 2:11:29 PMThere's PvP players that don't get a lot of the Trials weapons so why is it a big deal if someone that only plays PvE can't get them as soon as they come out? I probably don't have adept versions of the majority of the newer weapons because I didn't do what it takes me to get them. That's really all there is to it. The game will become bland as far as loot if everything is just given away. And that matchmaking and setup for Trials right now does not suggest in any way that those weapons should be handed out in other ways. It would be one thing if Trials was a completely different mode, but it has so many "hand up" mechanisms for people that there's no justification for putting the weapons in PvE right now whatsoever.

Pvp should never have been a part of this pve game and it just shows. It should have been a separate game.

It works both ways, I think PvE is boring and annoying but when I wanted a time lost fatebringer for PvP I had to farm the Templar in vog for two evenings Same for the matador, hours & hours at that ogre for a mediocre roll. It is what it is

Nah it’s fine as is. Just wait for Bungie to add other strand traces. Also, it’s easily the best performing trace in pvp. I’ve been beaming people from 40m with it. It’s nutty in 6s. Haven’t tried it in 3s yet though

Pvp players deserve loot too. That or convince bungie to give me raid loot from trials.

Welcome to destiny, thats literally how the game is designed to be played. We gotta do raids and stuff to get good weapons for pvp too so it’s nothing new.

2 RepliesAll weapons should be available in all basic playlists, vanguard, gambit and crucible. The adept version could be tied to a specific game mode. I really want the trials strand heavy GL but I would never step foot in trials.

10 RepliesFor the same reason I have to play strikes or nightfalls to get vanguard weapons. Or raid to get raid weapons. (Just in case......If you're about to spout off about how destiny is a pve game then dont bother, Destiny has always and will always have pvp. PVP is the thing that keeps destiny alive when there's no PVE content and the place where real skill is tested)
