What has changed that this game is so toxic and elitist BS..
Seriously, it's a game.. do people not go out to see grass and trees ever.
-
1st: The irony is hilarious. 2nd: Why is it only bad players use the excuse "it's just a game"
-
6 RepliesThe game isn't toxic at all, this forum is. Go and meet people online and you'll see that there is thousands and thousands of nice gamers playing D2 all over the globe.
-
People do not see it as a game, but a lifestyle.
-
2 RepliesIt's not the game; it's the players.
-
Addicts aren't nice people?
-
I love everybody 🥰
-
Dammmmmmmmn you god. Why? Why? You have destroyed my life. You know I love cheese and you make me lactose intolerant…. You have taken everything. Bread too. What’s the point anymore I’ll be damned if I eat soy. Dammmmmmn you!
-
Last time I went outside to touch grass...I became itchy for a week. Fuk that...
-
Why would anyone need to go outside for that stuff? Grass and trees are present in D2 maps and patrol areas. Are you new or something?
-
I agree. It's a shame. I used to think the community was mostly good with a few bad apples. I now think the opposite.
-
7 RepliesThe only toxic part of this game is this forums. Leave this place and you’ll find most people are great.

1 ReplyIts the internet. It is full of toxicity because the anonymity provided allows it to thrive.

Your not wrong!!! I played the coil the other night with matchmaking. Ended up playing with 2 guys from the same clan, who turned out to be sweats. Sure enough, first time i died, i get tee bagged and not revived by either one of them. So i said screw it and let them carry me for the most part. What i don't get and never will is why be like that? I've played since D1, and over the years it just has kept getting worse and worse. Not gonna lie, a small part of me hopes Destiny 2 shuts down, and it all gets blamed on the toxic community.

referring to what exactly...? i mean i know the hard cores want it harder, and can be very toxic about it. but for me, and my enjoyment, I actually like having a game I keep coming back to that isn't tedious and frustrating, I mean sure I enjoy my elden rings/dark souls, but that's not something I would want to play everyday for a year, I actually enjoy power fantasy, and using my ability's to kill add's in pve... but those types of people seem to hate that, and want it to go slower and take longer, I mean ghost of the deep was what those type of people wanted, and its my least fav dungeon cause its so tedious and frustratingly long, but, the new dungeon is very manageable and is actually fun to do, and i don't mind grinding it with my friends, unlike ghost... tl:dr , I think elitism and wanting everything harder for all content is dumb. i dunno what OP is referring to so i inferred my own idea of what he might be talking about

its a problem in every online game right now not only destiny2. people just talk less these days and when they talk they are just toxic asfck for no reason at all
-
The state of the game is decreasing, and players take it out on each other
-
2 RepliesIt’s due to the fact that people like to call any behavior or opinion they don’t agree with, toxic.
-
Our society in general has become toxic....
-
8 RepliesIts not the game that's toxic, it's the players. Probably should appreciate the difference. ...and maybe its just the types of folks who hang out in the forum. I gotta believe many don't. just an observation.

Actually yes, it is toxic, to you’re expenses and you’re time. Unfortunately, the developers have their neck tied to a collar in chains of Corporate clowns doing anything and everything to raise profit margins (which backfired horribly in their face, forcing them to eject without EVEN A HAMMERING WORD many devs, who were left to their sorrow, which one content creator that knew one from the team had reported). This lead in response by the community Massively Hammering them up for their poor decision, which they gave two less Rats about, Which in results only repeated with the P2W Starter pack that they had to pull out because another content creator that just had enough of their sqwawk just got them to start packing. And the season being absolutely the same as how a Pancake faced Pug would rate their life in terms of story. « But at least Dawning will be good right ? » My feathers, they placed the Festival of the Lost’s content plastered in the content of this years dawning. Very Nice yes, For a recipe to absolute Bankruptcy, cause the little riding White Knight bannered Chaos Hounds will keep barking at you for even saying constructive criticism aren’t gonna get them to have Destiny be even hammering affordable to keep being on service. Bungie is a ticking timebomb, and soonly, it will end with a catastrophic implosion resulting of every dev and those clowns losing their jobs. Or Sony taking all ownership which I would sqwawking Salute even as an Xbox person because not only i don’t give a Rodent’s Whiskers about Console wars, but I prefer that these fools running a « business » to be held accountable for their absolute failure. As in this circus or a situation that would Rival the backlash Shaun Murray got with No Man’s Sky at launch. Which is ironic cause at least that game not only may be pay to play, the updates that come out of there are FREE and don’t take a SQWAWKING GOLD EDITION GAME’S PRICE FOR ALL THAT COMES IN THE YEAR.

1 ReplyIncreased difficulty drives more burnout and more toxicity

2 RepliesNerfherders and "make destiny challenging again" elitists.
What has changed that this game is so toxic and elitist BS.. Seriously, it's a game.. do people not go out to see grass and trees ever.
Yes its a game. How a game can be toxic is beyond me. Yes the people playing can be but the game being toxic sound ignorant beyond all recognition
-
1. Players are getting bored and leaving the game for various reasons, including lack of content and out of control monetization 2. Destiny has a horrible new player experience that straight up repels new people away from the game and keeps the game from growing This leaves you with a small and toxic population of players that hate destiny but stick around because they are addicted to it.

Because Bungies game design became toxic
-
The game is in its worst form to date. Players who consistently play are mostly addicts who can’t put it down and are extremely angry that it just flat out sucks now. They’re also angry that Bungie has swindled them by pulling and reselling them content again and again. There’s also a good percentage who view D2 achievements as real world achievements and treat it as such. A truly sad state overall.
