Hello me and my brother game share. He bought all the expansions and I can play them also. So I have all the other content. Just got back into Destiny as of Thanksgiving this year and now I'm doing the LightFall Campaign and it is saying I can't do battle grounds cause I dont have Season of Defiance. But yet I was able to take part in the Season of the Witch that just happened. Trying to figure out if I have to re buy this expansion for me to get the guns out of the loot for battlegrounds or if I just have to finish the Campaign in Lightfall. I had just done the mission in the light fall Campaign that got me to the edz and to the farm and I ran the mission for the 1st BattleGround but after it is saying I need to get Season of Defiance pass. Someone please help.

2 RepliesHi there. All players are allowed to play 1 Battleground as an introduction to the seasonal campaign to experience it. Seasonal activities require you own a season pass for that season to continue access. Season passes are independent of DLCs and they also cannot be game shared. If you had one during last season, it's because you either bought the Lightfall Standard edition during that season using your own account, or you bought a pass with Silver. If you want to get access to a past season, you'd need to purchase the Lightfall + Annual Pass edition with your own account (or the upgrade if you already own Lightfall).
